The material is very soft and not see through. It isn't too thin so that you can see your nips sticking out and its not too thick that it feels like you've wrapped a blanket around yourself. I wouldn't use this as a t shirt for going out as it is very baggy and large but i love to sleep in this as it is long and suitable for bed.
