Fantastic portable switch dock. Works exactly like the standard switch dock, but it's much smaller and better to take travelling. Switching between TV and docked mode is literally as simple as pressing a button. There is a small downside and that is putting it into the charging port initially. Seems to take a little bit of "wiggling" to get it to set properly, but once it's there it's fine. Overall a great Nintendo switch dock for a solid price

Works exactly as expected for me. So I plugged a HDMI lead from this to the back of my TV and used my MacBook USB C charger to power the adaptor. Connected the switch and it came up on my TV within seconds. We have used this quite a few times now and it has worked every time. Only complaint (but not worthy of loosing a star) is that without the switch on the adaptor, it is very light and doesn’t stay flat because of the cables. However when the switch is placed on it, it’s perfect. A lot cheaper than the official cradle. Oh and it’s not as easy to connect the switch compared to the original cradle as it hasn’t got the high sides to slide it in. Still a great item that is working exactly as described for us. As a test, I tried using this with a standard USB C power lead and it didn’t work! You need a high capacity/power USB C charger. It mentions in the description what is required. As I mentioned, I’ve been using my MacBook Pro power lead and it works fine. Thanks

**Review was originally 1* as non-functioning at the time of review. Writing that here for honesty** So after the two hours of absolute frustration, this item is finally working. Because the other reviews don’t seem to mention it, I will: If you’re using an official Nintendo Switch power supply to power this dock do NOT put the USBC end all the way in the dock. Because even though it will push all the way in it does NOT supply power. It also made me panic because I kept thinking the problem was at the plug end, as opposed to the dock, so I’d unplug it from the dock to test it in my Switch and it wouldn’t charge! Had to completely unplug it from the wall and plug it back in to get it to charge the Switch handheld (to be clear, this is while I was testing to see if my power supply was working to rule it out of faults). So pushing it all the way into this dock, for some reason, temporarily shorts the power supply. Unplug and re-plug seems to work. If you’re just going to leave the power supply in this dock, as opposed to swapping them in and out, then you’ll be fine leaving it plugged in as you would with the official dock. With the official power supply the dock will charge and display on the TV in the same fashion as your official dock out of box. I will say that it can be slightly fiddly to get your Switch off the dock ((I usually do a gentle side to side wiggle motion to get the Switch off the dock)) but otherwise it feels secure enough. There is a USB port that will charge a Pro Controller (again, I have an official charging cable in use). I cannot comment on whether unofficial cables/power supplies offer a different set of problems/work better. **THIS DOCK DOES NOT COME WITH ANY CABLES. Be prepared to supply your own power supply and HDMI cable. Mentioning this for anyone who missed it in the description**. All in all for the £25 price point I paid this is a nifty little dock. It really is travel sized and will easily fit in your bag/pocket/certain storage cases.

Update: Stopped working fairly quickly.Seller was unhelpful The best thing about this is that it's absolutely tiny! I couldn't believe the size when I unboxed it. It is very light and could easily fit into a pocket. Use the power supply from your original dock.

It connects to the power supply with a standard USB power lead but would not work with a generic USB power supply. An error message came up on the Switch screen saying that a genuine Nintendo power adaptor was needed and that did the trick. Yeah, sounds like a marketing move rather than a genuine technical need and it spoilt what I wanted it for, which was to have a cradle ready when my girls bring their Switches without all the support gear. Now they have to remember to bring their power supply, too. So they may as well remember to bring their cradle too. A standard HDMI cable worked though, it didn't need a special Nintendo one LOL

The dock is a great idea; it's small, it's easy to use, and it's cheap! However, in practice the dock works perfectly but just doesn't provide enough power to the switch for it to remain charged for playing for any time longer than about 3-4 hours, so the switch dies randomly when you are least expecting it. But if that's long enough for you, definitely worth getting!

Xmas is coming and I bought a Switch for my daughter. To be honest with you, I went for the normal one rather than the lite model so that the whole family could enjoy it like we used to with the Wii. I decided to get a bunch of accessories to enjoy the full Nintendo switch experience. I just tried this docking station quickly. I was surprised by the size but them open the Nintendo switch box and found it was also quite small. Not the same size as the Wii🤣🤣🤣 Overall,I am please with the built quality. The switch clicks in place and sits safely in the dock. You have USB, USB C and HDMI at the back of the docking station.

We had been looking to have another “dock” in our bedroom for easy portability. The official dock is expensive and harder to get hold of. We previously tried another item which we returned. However this was great. Firstly it’s really small. It works well you simply click the Switch onto it there is a button on the front to switch to TV. We have had no issues. The only downside is this does not come with a plug. So we bought one along with it. But we knew this when purchasing. Overall we will most likely use this to travel with rather than the official dock due to how small it is.

J'avais lu des articles sur un brick de la console (un blocage complet) en cas d'utilisation d'un dock non-officiel et avait peur de brancher ma Switch sur celui-ci. Mais force est de constater que plusieurs mois après, aucun dommage n'est à signaler. La connectique suffit à brancher l'alimentation compatible (non fournie), le câble HDMI et un accessoire USB (un adaptateur Ethernet dans mon cas) et permet de basculer aisément entre l'affichage TV et l'affichage console, ce qui lui donne une fonction secondaire de support en mode portable, idéal pour y jouer en nomade tout en la chargeant. Deux petits bémols sont à noter : le bouton vert brillant assez disgracieux servant à basculer entre les deux affichages et l'impossibilité d'allumer la TV en sortant la console de veille, mais pour un prix 3x inférieur au dock officiel, je peux largement le conseiller si vous cherchez un second dock.

Ecco, in questi casi è praticamente d'obbligo un Dock secondario per permetterne il collegamento alla TV. Il prodotto ufficiale ovviamente costa un occhio della testa, quindi ho azzardato acquistando questo Dock di terze parti. Il prodotto vi arriva in un anonimissima scatoletta che comprende lo stesso e le istruzioni. NON ci sono alimentazione o cavi HDMI, dovete usare i vostri, di conseguenza se lo comprate non come sostitutivo, ma per averne uno extra, vi servirà anche un alimentazione adeguata e un cavo video. Il funzionamento è stra banale, dopo aver attaccato il Dock alla tv e all'alimentazione, basta posizionare la console Switch nell'apposito slot con l'USB Type C. A questo punto premendo il pulsante verde presente sulla base dovreste attivarne il funzionamento e il led si accenederà, visualizzando le immagini sul vostro televisore. Il pulsante fondamentalmente permette di passare dalla trasmissione TV allo schermo sulla Switch, in questo modo potete utilizzare il Dock anche come semplice stand per giocare direttamente sullo schermo della console. Sappiate infine, che a differenza del Dock ufficiale Nintendo, questo ha esclusivamente una porta USB 3.0 per periferiche esterne, non due, limitazione da tenere a mente. CONCLUSIONI: Buon dock sostitutivo che per il prezzo fa egregiamente il suo lavoro, il difetto principale è che ovviamente la qualità delle plastiche non è eccelsa e può sembrare un po' leggerino, non lo farei cadere per terra troppo spesso personalmente. Rimane comunque un acquisto consigliato

Probamos con un adaptador USB C más económico que funcionaba pero daba problemas con la carga. Esta base en cambio lo hace todo: carga la Switch y saca el vídeo por una toma HDMI. Proporciona incluso un puerto USB 3.0 adicional para cargar un mando, por ejemplo. Eso sí, no incluye la fuente de alimentación. Necesitarás un cargador USB C oficial o compatible con el oficial que proporcione 15V. Pensando en el futuro, busca uno que de 3A / 45W porque antes o después tendrás algún otro aparato que lo utilice. Lo que importa: no se calienta, carga la Switch mientras juegas y ocupa muy poco espacio. Sirve incluso de base para usar la pantalla de la propia Switch y tiene un conmutador para usarla en este modo. Esto último no lo hemos probado, pero imagino que funcionará bien. Muy buena alternativa a la base oficial que tiene un precio excesivo para lo que es. Ahora viaja a todas partes acompañada de un cargador y un cable HDMI.

Wer seine Switch nur zu Hause benutzt, braucht sowas nicht. Die Ladestation erfüllt soweit ich weiß den gleichen Zweck. Aber für unterwegs bei Freunden ist es ideal Es ist sehr klein und benötigt wenig Platz. Man könnte es in die Hosentasche stecken. Die Bilder die ich angehängt habe sind vergrößert damit man Details sehen kann. Funktioniert in allen beschriebenen Funktionen einwandfrei und reicht als Stütze vollkommen aus. Bild und Ton werden mittels HDMI problemlos und in sehr guter Qualität übertragen. Die Switch wird mittels USB C Anschluss direkt im Standfuß eingestöpselt. Wer seine Switch unterwegs am Fernseher nutzen will ein Muss.

Geen van de 2 bestelde items schakelde het switchbeeld naar de tv over. Dit op 3 tv's geprobeerd. Opladen doen ze dan weer wel, maar daar had ik ze niet voor besteld.
