Review: Great cooking twine. - This roll of cooking twine is a 10 out of 10 for me. Looks just like what father used and he did own a locker and was a butcher. This holds my chickens and turkeys perfectly and roast beef and crown roast of pork. I like the non color, not bleached white, and had no smell and is perfectly soft enough to not hurt your hands. I have several things I use this for and is very versatile, but this time my spouse is not allowed to move it from the kitchen. We now have a roll in the garage and the basement, but it is like scissors and it is always gone. This time I put it in a tall canning jar and drilled a hole in the top to pull the string out. When cooking I hate touching whole twine and contaminating it. Also, use this to tie scissors to many objects around the house.

**Q: Is this twine made in USA ?**
A: That's very questionable. The label has an address for the company in Dallas TX but many of their products are made in China. 
They're a bit shady by saying the items are 'packaged in inspected' in USA but LEGALLY speaking that is NOT the same as 'MADE in USA'.
When emailing the company for clarification, they don't reply. That's bad.

A: It's definitely much too thick for the numbered metal thread-crochet hooks but I assume you realized that.   While it's not spun as tightly or as uniformly as actual cotton "yarn," it is roughly comparable, but maybe a little lighter than, Peaches n Creme or Bernat or another of the non-mercerized "kitchen cotton" type yarns... As with those yarns, I'd think a G or H hook would work, assuming your usual tension/gauge is "average."

**Q: Is this twine sturdy enough to use to truss a turkey for 45 minutes in a rotisserie turkey fryer?**
A: As a meatcutter for 52 years with Safeway I would say this NOT butcher twine. Is more like big thread. I bone out turkeys and roll them and have to use dozens of wraps to succeed.

Worked well. We dry brined the 9 pound pork shoulder overnight. I smoked the pork for 13 hours. The bride trussed the pork with the Regency twine. No tears, solid knots and did not fall apart after 13 hours. The twine cut easily when she pulled the meat apart. Really good twine.
