Great and easy to use

After looking at some eye-wateringly expensive custom dog boxes for our XL-breed puppy, we decided to give this a go. She’d outgrown 2 airline-style crates by 6months and was not going to be comfortable crammed into the Ferplast Atlas 40 on a long road trip. It has proven to be a great choice for us. Pros: the frame is sturdy and coated metal, not plastic. It’s also easy to assemble and lightweight, so very handy to move into and out of our car boot when I need the space for groceries. Or when staying away, we’ve brought it into the hotel room or holiday cottage as her crate. She’s comfortable enough to snore away for hours in it, and it has not warped or bent. The handles are useful, because though it’s lightweight, at this size it’s awkward, especially carrying it through doors. I was worried about the mesh as our dog has long, very strong claws (see photo) and can really scratch at the front of a crate in excitement when she’s about to be let out. But so far, it’s held up extremely well!! That’s after 2 roadtrips and near daily use. She’s now 7 months, 25+Kg , quite long for a mastiff, and still growing. Lots of space for her, this should see her into adult size. Cons: none really, although be aware that if you have a hatchback shaped car, this may be too tall to fit. For reference, it fits in my BMW iX3 with plenty of room on top and enough on the sides for a narrow bag or 2. But it will not fit in my husband’s BMW 3 series GT. Cushion: we found the 3peaks Medium size cushion (bought elsewhere) is the perfect fit for for this XL crate. (See photo). Definitely the M, the L was too large. Hope this helps.

This was perfect for our dogs first holiday...easy to assemble, sturdy and lightweight fitted perfectly in the back of our car. It was big enough to fit his dog bed and toys in. Very happy with the purchase.

Great product

Bought this at the last minute to take on holiday instead of our large metal crate, as we were tight for space. Can't recommend it enough. Strong, easy to put up and down and is light weight. We have a West Highland Terrier, 9kg and this was perfect for him. Just note, you do need an additional mattress for your furry friend to lie on, the one from our Kong crate fitted nicely and was something familiar for him to smooth the transition.

Haven’t used it yet but it was reasonably easy to assemble. There is no mattress just a bare vinyl floor and there are no flaps to cover the “ netting” windows. It is adequate for my needs and it was a case of this is what was available in a large enough size. Width and length are ok, it is the height that is a compromise. Easy to fold up and has a very neat carry handle.

Sehr einfacher Aufbau, deshalb ist auch der Bezug zum waschen leicht abnehmbar, hab ich aber noch nicht gemacht. Stoff, Netz und auch ganz wichtig die Reißverschlüsse machen einen sehr stabilen Eindruck. Passen zwei 14 kg Hunde rein, für kleine Strecken zum Gassi fahren im Kofferraum, zur Not auch 3 Hunde. Lange Fahrten würde ich nicht beide einpacken, das wäre dann unbequem. Die rauchig blaue Farbe finde ich sehr schön. Minimaler Kritikpunkt sind die Klettverschlüsse zum hochrollen der Netze, da bleiben die Hundehaare dran hängen und ist für mich eine eher unnötige Funktion.

Die Box lässt sich gut zusammenbauen und zuklappen und kann überall hin mitgenommen werden. Der Hund hat sie sofort angenommen. Durch die kleinen Löcher kommen auch keine Fliegen ins Innere, was im Sommer am Pferdestall sehr von Vorteil ist. Wie lange und gut sie hält, kann ich noch nicht sagen, die Verarbeitung erscheint mir aber sehr gut.

Ich habe eine Box in Größe L für meinen portugiesischen Wasserhund gekauft. Kann jetzt bestätigen, dass die Box auch die Ausbruchsversuche eines wilden Welpens aushält. Am Anfang hatte ich schon Angst, dass das Material reißt, aber man sieht wirklich kaum eine Spur, trotz Kratzen und Beißen von innen. Was auch sehr praktisch ist, ist dass am Reißverschluss ein kleiner Haken hängt, den man an den zweiten Reißverschluss klippsen kann. So kann der Hund auch den Reißverschluss nicht aufmachen. Der Boden der Box ist wasserabweisend und super gut zu reinigen. Man kann die Box auch gut tragen (ohne Hund drin). Die Farbe (Kaki) sieht in auf den Bildern ein bisschen anders aus als in Echt. Finde sie aber trotzdem schön.
