I've got old ones, new ones, small ones, large ones. This one is a great addition to the collection.I get a lot of stuff from Amazon. As a result I get a lot of boxes from Amazon. The ones that get beat up in shipping get cut up and recycled. The ones that can be reused get stacked until they take up too much room in the garage. When that happens I grab (and by "grab" I mean "try to find") a utility knife, cut through the tape, fold the boxes flat and put them in an even bigger box for use down the road. The pile I had accumulating was just big enough to give this knife a fair test.The first thing I appreciated was how it feels in the hand. The bigger grip is comfortable and secure. It is wide enough that it gives me good control and I'm not afraid it is going to slip from my grasp. The push button to allow the blade to slide out of the housing is tight enough that it won't easily engage the blade but not too stiff to make it difficult to use the knife. The blade can be advanced in small increments which makes it perfect for precise control.Cutting packaging tape is one thing. Attacking cardboard is another and this knife did yeoman's work slicing through the boxes headed for the recycling bin. Even the really thick cardboard used to ship musical gear or electronics (I'm a professional musician and that stuff piles up, too!) was no match for this razor sharp instrument.As I was finishing the de-boxing process I wondered how easy it was going to be to find replacement blades. That's when I noticed the door on the back of the knife (there are no instructions supplied with this product). It comes with a supply of blades that I think will take me a long time to use up.All in all, this is a well designed knife and a great addition to the toolbox, garage shelf or kitchen drawer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not a lot to go wrong *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2019* Be advised: I received this product for free as part of the Amazon Vine program. It will not sway my opinion on the product and I will include my opinion on if it is worth the price.This is a heavy snap knife. The extra blades give it a big presence. It might be a bit too heavy for the thin blades it uses, but it is good to have all the extra blades in one place when needed.I do like the mechanism for the blade change. When you have used up all the edges on one snap blade, you simply push the thumb stud all the way forward and the stub can be ejected. Then run the stud all the way back and the next blade will snap into place automatically. It's a pretty lever system that may come in handy when working. Off the top of my head, I thought it would be good for when I am cutting shingles or laying felt paper and I only have one hand loose.I took one star off the durability rating because I believe the rubber over-molding will likely degrade after exposure to solvents. It'll leave that sticky slightly gelatinous gunk as the layer breaks down. I will update if it holds up.TL;DRHeavy, but contains enough extra blades on board for a long time. Over mold likely to become tacky as solvents eat away at the butyl rubber. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great utility cutting knife for the money, makes opening all these Zon boxes and easy task. *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2019* Cool design break-a-way blade sections and spring loaded collection of 8 blades in handle to fill in. All in all it makes for over 100 cutting sections for doing a lot of work. You'd not be able to buy this any blades for the product price alone. Easy blade advance and extension for cutting blade. The plastic handle and push button advance and open is well made and seems to be sturdy. Reminds me of the swords in the anime Raid on Titan, where multibladed break-a-way blades are used to fight giant humanoids.Unlike the utility knives of years back where a double sixed trapezoidal blade had extras inside the metal handle. You get the best of both worlds as utility knife meets extension cutter so many more cutting surfaces. If you cut a lot of things, or trim plastic, tiles, leather or cloth, but more than one. At this price can hardly be beat. I guess you'll have to judge from individual reviews if it's good for you. Sunex has an annoying bad habit of putting completely unrelated tools on the same product page, so star ratings my not apply depending on the other tool types.
