Worth it
Use this in my chin since I had my thyroid removed I have hair there now. These work perfect getting the peach fuzz off my face, hair off lip, and off my chin. It hurts a little but u get used to it. It’s nothing like the pain of waxing!

Fantastic, catches hairs and great for travel
Great for travel since it's regular batteries and not lithium ion. Fantastic for easily getting hairs in about a one inch area. I use a bigger epilator for my legs, but those are too heavy to travel with. This would take a long time on legs, very long, but in an emergency it would work. It is too wide for the face, I have a smaller epilator more with a pen-size head for that.

Good machine, wish is had a charging cord.
Please understand that I am someone who regularly has used an epilator for the past 5+ years on my arms, legs and bikini line. (The one I use for that is Emjoi brand, "Soft Caress" anD I love it) but it is about 2.5 inches wide like a shaver so I wanted something small and delicate to use on my face. I first opted for the $70 Braun Face Epilator Facespa Pro 910. I was willing to splurge on a more expensive product because it was for my face, but it was awful- had plastic components and did not pull hair whatsoever. I returned it and opted for this cheaper epilator because it actually had metal components. At first I thought it was useless because i tried it on my arm and knuckles and it did not remove hair at all. I was just about ready to return it when I went ahead and tried it on my face and was surprised to feel that I could tell it as actually pulling hair out. I had to move the epilator much slower and be more deliberate with my stroked that the larger Emjoi I am used to using, but after carefully spending about 30 minutes up close to a magnifying mirror I could tell it was working. The next day my face felt smooth and I could see it had worked. Compared to my Emjoi it is definitely weaker and slower going, but for my face I needed something more delicate and with patience it definitely works. Compared to the $70 Braun one I bought it's worlds better. I do wish it picked up hair a little better on the first pass and I wish it was not only battery operated, but it does work and I do give it a solid 4. Save your money on the products that cost double this one and just get the emjoi!

Works great if you're careful. Totally worth the strong stinging sensation!
This was the first time I've experienced an epilator, although I have waxed and used tweezers for many years. I used it on my face (cheeks, chin, jaw, upper lip), and it worked great! I'm glad I got it. It left my skin completely free of hair. That said, it does hurt. Actually, it stings -- a lot! It didn't bother me, but I know people for whom it would be too much. The sensation is different from the pain of pulling off wax strips. I found this surprising because both methods pull the hair out by its root. It also left my skin a little red for three days. Right after I used it, the "apples" of my cheeks were pink, like flushed in a pretty way from hiking in hot weather or drinking half a glass of wine. For the next two days the redness was less, but was slightly mottled. The day after that, it was all gone. I believe my good results have to do with technique. I carefully followed the instructions that arrived with the unit. The instructions were clear. A couple of hours before I used the epilator, I washed my face with soap, then didn't put anything on it. When using the unit, I pulled my skin very taut, held the unit at a right angle to my face, and skimmed it over my skin being careful not to press it onto my skin. I think I got a little pink on the apples of my cheeks because they're more difficult to stretch taut and so maybe the tweezers touched my skin there a little. After I used the epilator, I very gently wiped my face with witch hazel. For the next two days I washed it gently with soap, and followed with witch hazel. I tried very hard not to touch my face where it was pink. Even if you keep your hands "clean", they have a lot of bacteria on them. I also cleaned the epilator as instructed.

Bring back the old model
I have re-purchased these for years and the current one that I’ve re-purchased in the last month is not as good as the old model. The old model plucked every hair, the first pass. The new one barely plucks any hairs at all. I thought I got a defective product but looking at the reviews the new models aren’t as good.

Works ok, the battery life seems good, but I won't be tossing my tweezers
After about six months of using a full sized epilator for my legs and under my arms, I thought I'd try a smaller one for my face. I have POS. While my symptoms of unwanted facial hair growth isn't in the "severe" category, it's definitely noticeable if I don't daily maintain it. I was hoping this epilator would speed up my routine AM and PM tweezing sessions, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I realize the epilator needs the hair to be of a certain length before it can work as designed, but even after shutting myself away for a weekend and allowing three days of growth, it seemed to be a bit too much for this epilator. It does fairly well on the peach fuzz, but I find myself using my tweezers just as long as I was before purchasing the epilator. I have to do many, many passes over the hair, even holding the skin as taunt as I dare it misses a lot. I wasn't expecting a miracle, I know that using an epilator with POS would not make the hair grow back thinner or lighter. I was just looking to speed up the process of plucking and possibly lower the amount of in-grown hairs. I'll keep using the epilator, though. It's good for touch-ups. My docking of two stars isn't because it didn't work well in my particular case. It doesn't come apart for cleaning and the included brush doesn't seem to work very well. I feel like it was worth the money but I probably will look elsewhere if I shop for another facial epilator.

Works great
That upper lip hair is removed with ease. Don’t use on your arm pits…. Don’t ask me how I know. Ouch.

Really Unhappy
When I first received this EMJOI EPI SLIM EPILATOR I was super excited. I tried it on my neck, bikini (ouch on the bikini area) and leg areas. It worked ok on those areas (I have a high pain tolerance so people may not be able to endure delicate areas) but sadly it failed on my face by not removing the hairs. I did wait for my facial hair to grow out before using it on my face. I ended up getting a cold sore on my lip area where I used it rubbing it over the lip area again & again. I bought this so I wouldnt have to use tweezers anymore. Not only did I get a nice cold sore but I still had to use tweezers. It did work on my neck (where it was virgin hair), legs & bikini areas and it did last approximately 6 wks before hair grew back in sans: facial hair. I just picked it up to use on my legs & Bikini areas again & it wont even turn on even trying a new set of batteries to be sure it wasnt that. Nope, it failed to turn on at all.I passed my return time because I had 6 wks before I was supposed to need to use it again. So my month of operation testing (received/used 1st time on Feb 6th) and tried it again March 10th less that actual 6wks was not verified. I also learned that people w/ white hair which I have on my face will find it less successful than those w/ black or darker hair will find it. So had it worked more than once and not requiring me to pluck those hairs which I had hoped it would specifically work on I would have given it a three possibly 4 ****. oh yeah and the cold sore I enjoyed popping out on my face for me to enjoy for 10 days. Thumbs down on this product way down.. Bummer for me!!!

No funciona y es riesgosa
Deja muchos vellos, sólo los rompe y si tratas de quitarlos acercando las pinzas a la piel terminas quemandote como me pasó porque no se le puede disminuir la velocidad .

My first epilator
I used this as soon as it arrived and I love it. Took care of those fine facial hairs and not too painful to endure. Very happy with this item!
