I just wanted to take a moment and thank you. As a small business owner I spend much of my free time reading business books. While browsing the selection online, I stumbled across your book "The Energy Bus". Despite the fact that I had vaguely heard of the book before this time I felt inspired to purchase it and I can't tell you how glad I am that I did.I wish I could say I blew through the book in an hour but unfortunately with a job, a business, wife, two young kids and a dog, trying to find more than ten minutes to read at a time can be a challenge. Reading it slowly gave me more time to ponder the ideas and really enjoy the story.The minute I finished the book I could not wait to share it with everyone I know but I especially wanted to share it my wife/business partner first. She too loves to read business books but as a true workaholic she struggles even more than I do to find the time. Fortunately we had a long weekend in Key West planned so I was optimistic that she would be able to find the time to do some reading. Plus I was confident that once she started the book she wouldn't be able to put it down. Despite my encouraging "get on the bus" chant all weekend long, boats, bars and beaches got the best of us and no reading was accomplished.In an unusual event for our family my wife offered to drive the first leg of the trip home, in 20 plus years together, her driving hasn't happened more than a dozen times. Well with the car loaded up with luggage, my in laws, two daughters and wife behind the wheel we started our 4 hour trip home.On a lark I picked up "The Energy Bus" and began to read out loud, whole expediting to be told to be quite and put the radio on before I got through the first chapter. To my surprise not only was I not told to stop but I was not allowed to stop. The four passengers each took turns reading chapters aloud. My eight year old daughter loved reading the rules aloud and my golf loving father in law took the one good golf shot chapter to heart. The trip flew by and by the time we arrived home there were three pages left in the book. We all ran into the house to finish it.I have read many great books in my life but never have I ever experienced anything like that trip home. To bond with my family over your book was the highlight of my vacation and something I will never forget.I apologize if this incredibly long letter has rambled on for too long but I just wanted you to know what a profound affect and great experience your work provided.thank you

Great, quick read. The rules are told through a story which makes it interesting

if you are a sports coach, business leader, team captain, parent, friend, etc. Doesn't matter who you are, everyone should read this book! Really any book by Jon Gordon is recommended. Do you have a negative Nelly or pessimistic polly in your life. Someone who always seems to think God or the world around them is out to get them. Have them read this book. You can help build better team and business culture by having those around you read it. All in all it is a game changer!!!

I feel that this book is what I needed to read. It was suggested by my employer and I think I have gleaned some good things to pursue my goal of being a better servant leader in my workplace.
