my beagle eats this dog food, I even put a half a scoop of the powder pumpkin(organic) on top of his food one today.. I absolutely stay stocked up on this and this is a good price.. Remember when you’re switching out bags of dog food when one gets empty and if you have an in a container to wash out that container because you don’t want food mites- and then let it air dry… that’s what all my vets have told me over the years.. don’t dump the bag of food into a container. Keep it in the original bag and use a chip clip to close it down and keep it fresh and then put i the bag of dog food in the container.. it’s a good way to keep it fresh, so it won’t go stale or go moldy.. now when I get to the bottom of the bag, the minute I start seeing crumbs I throw that remaining away and open a fresh bag.. because the powder gets in their mouth and up their nose and stuff and that’s not good for them.. that’s why I’m always stocked up on dog food, plus Hunter will never go without.. even though he only goes through about two bags a month, I try to say two bags ahead of that-just to make sure he always has I added a picture of Hunter. He’s two years old.- he thinks my chaise fog is his huge dog bed lol 😝 Of course, he thinks the same with the queen size bed he’s got his half but he takes up 2/3 of the bed for 30 pound dog— everything in my apartment is his— he just shared it with me lol Back to the dog food this dog food has been that recommended and when Hunter was a puppy, he was on the same kind, but just for puppies— and this is what I keep him on, and I will keep him on it all the way through even his senior years.. unless he end up developing any allergies, pray to God doesn’t happen, but if he does, then we’ll cross that bridge when it comes to it July 21, 2026. I just received three bags that I had-one of them seems to be really overfilled with air-now Hunter still has a little bit of a dog food left in one of the previous bags that I had, but we will see when I open the other one that seems to have extreme a lot of air.. when I have to open another bag that’s the one that I am gonna cut open— now I do keep my dog food in the original bags in the bins, but in between bags, I pull everything out and wash the bins out because of food mites.. Stay tuned to find out if the bag filled with a lot of air is good or bad.. I haven’t had a bad bag yet. I’ve had bags up missing where I live, but I’ve never had a bad bag of this dog food… and my beagle is 27.2 pounds so he’s staying at a healthy weight and very very healthy. The vet said they are very pleased because they want him to say between 25 pounds and 30 pounds and this dog food absolutely does it for him.-I don’t overdo it with dog treats either.. when we go out somewhere that’s when he gets the majority of dog treats because he is a service dog in training.. other than that he gets limited dog treats during the daytime-but he loves his dog food and I think it is a great deal for 6 pounds for the price… one bag with my beagle last around three weeks, maybe a little longer he gets 1/2 cup 3 times a day.. and I do this because if I eat three times a day, it’s only right that an animal should eat three times a day… not two times a day or not once a day.. you can take the amount they’re supposed to have and divided by three and then use your measuring cup to feed them OK, so Amazon was open tonight and I talked to them tonight July 29 and let them know about the one bag. The guy that I talked to was extremely extremely nice, had issues the first time I talked to a young lady some beeping noise came over the phone so I had to call up and call back but I did get a really nice gentleman to talk to. I told him that I wasn’t looking for a refund or anything. He wanted to send a replacement bags but since I’m going to be moving And the bad one gets me in time he did wanna compensate. Which ended up giving me a refund which I wasn’t expecting that. But I will continue to use this dog food and order from the same seller because I’ve been ordering from the seller for a year now. My beagle is two years old and the dog food is absolutely amazing. Don’t let my one bag overfilled with air discourage you from buying it. This is the first and only time in a year that I’ve had an issue with the dog food and it was just a lot of air and the vet told me not to feed it to Hunter because he’s been puking up foam.. with means it could be acid reflux due to the other air and the one bag of dog food, the vet said that there was a possibility because of all the air that it could’ve been contaminated just to throw that bag away and move onto the next bag and that’s exactly what I’m gonna do.. in the morning I’m gonna give him the other bed that was normal packaged.. But like I said, do not let this discourage you from buying from the seller because this is the first and only bad experience that I had when it was only one bag out of three. This is a great dog food for your dogs, especially the beagle. I’m very pleased with this dog food overall, and the seller. I will buy again absolutely. These are the people that always have my business when it comes to Hunter’s dog food and I won’t change that… I won’t make a seller suffer over one little incident, which is probably not even their fault. It’s probably wherever they got the dog food from… but overall I’ve been very very very pleased with this dog food and it’s keeping my dog at the proper weight. He is actually 27.2 pounds. My vet wants to stay between 25 but no more than 30 pounds and this dog food is perfect for my beagle and I give him 1/2 three times a day.. and he doesn’t get a lot of treats because I don’t want him to get obese This is actually two different reviews added to one. Because I continuously use the same seller.

The old beagle likes it and he’s losing weight. It’s the best food available so it makes me feel good.

Great product my vet recommended it

I have a 100 lb Golden retriever and vet said it's time to take some weight off like 20 lb. Well I was able to do that and she's down 5 lbs so but I think just another 10 lbs would be great and she would look healthier. I had to change to a different dry dog food because of the too much fat and the other kind. There was no problem changing she seems to enjoy the this and I don't have any problems feeding her. I've always made her dinner real with some kitchen things in there like some extra little meat like turkey or chicken or sometimes even a beef patty so she gets that not just the dry food but extra regular kitchen food is what I call it. She's doing well I'm happy with her weight loss with this. Well it was recommended by my vet so I know it's good and it has the nutrients she needs.

Our family dog was a bit overweight and wasn’t eating enough, so my son ordered the fresh food that is quite expensive. He created an eating monster. So we feed him this weight management dry food a scoop 3 to 4 times a day with the fresh food. He’s weight it’s under control and he is more energetic.

My rescue Corgi had been started on Purina Pro Plan but was gaining weight. DVM analyzed the calorie content, searched and found this weight management variety which is still yummy to his tummy and may be helping 'diet'. As always Amazon finds the exact right thing in the exact right package size.

My vet recommended this food for my slight chunkster of a dog. We have been using it for over a year and definitely helps maintain a healthy weight. Especially in the winter when getting outside for long walks is more tricky. I think my dog would give it 5 stars for taste, she always eats it with no problems and she can be picky.

This is the only weight management dog food that satisfies my dogs hunger while losing weight. Any of the many that I’ve tried he’s actually gained weight and still always hungry and begging for food. It’s amazing how he he’s full on less food. My vet told me about it because her dog uses it. I couldn’t find it anywhere until I moved and my new veterinary clinic sold it. It’s about $20 cheaper a bag off per bag through Amazon . I will never try another dog food again. On a further note I ran out and thought I’d try a cheaper brand. He’s always hungry and has gained about 11/2 lbs in 3 weeks . I’d recommend this brand to everyone with an overweight dog. You won’t be disappointed
