I’ve been using the Remington S1510 hair straightener for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed with how well it performs for the price. What I like most: Smooth glide: The antistatic ceramic coating means my hair doesn’t snag or pull — it just glides through smoothly even on slightly damp hair. Slim, long plates: The longer plates make it easy to straighten bigger sections, so my styling time is much faster than with my old straightener. Fast heat-up: Heats up in about 30 seconds, which is perfect for busy mornings. Simple controls: Just 2 heat settings – I usually use the lower one unless I need extra smoothness on stubborn sections. Great cord length: The 1.8 m cord gives good reach without feeling tight or awkward. A couple of things to note: The maximum temperature (up to 220 °C) is hot enough for my thick hair, but if you have very fine hair I’d stick with the lower setting to avoid damage. It doesn’t have a digital display, so you just set low/high — not a big deal, but something to be aware of. Who it’s for: Anyone wanting a reliable everyday straightener that’s easy to use, heats fast, and gives consistently smooth results without costing a fortune. Would definitely recommend! 👍

Good product and travel friendly

I wouldn’t buy these again. They don’t hold the hair and it slips through, I have burnt my hands fingers 3 times in one usage. It also caused frizz on the ends of my hair which is now short and the burnt hair is extremely visible

They don’t get very hot at all so don’t really achieve much, not very effective at all.

I’ve had a Remington hair straightener for years (diff model) and thought it was great. Broke after 10 years so I got this one. It’s just not very good, it does something but I can’t get my hair really straight with it and it takes a lot longer. I’ve used the highest setting but it feels like the heat just isn’t transferring to my hair, or it’s not actually hitting 220c. The bargain is tempting but I’d recommend just waiting til you have the extra 10 or 20 quid and get the Remington one with the adjustable heat dial- that’s the one I had and it was really good.
