In all my years of feeding the birds and enjoying the hummingbirds this is by far the best hummingbird feeder I have ever found and highly recommend to others who also enjoy taking care of these beautiful little birds. NO issues with bugs getting inside. NO problems with it leaking all the nectar out. AND?? for the first time ever; we get to actually see the hummers perch and drink, and drink, and drink! Usually, they would continue to have to maintain flight to try to outwit the bugs to get some nectar but this feeder; they actually perch on; for several minutes at a time! I am so pleased with this feeder, and it is just beautiful too. I threw out all the plastic feeders; which when you think about it; sit in the sun; and plastic; is toxic; soooo; we really werent doing the birds much of a favor. This is well constructed; and the base is metal, and yep; the bottle is beautiful ruby red glass; just beautiful. We get to constantly watch them come in, land, drink; grab some water (I also purchased a bird mason jar waterer from this company too)..we've got so many hummingbirds coming its amazing; I think the babies are now showing up too; since we are seeing tiny, tiny ones now as well.
