Curious why these are called 'Subwoofer Cable'.  Look like regular quality RCA speaker cable.  Won't a quality RCA cable work as well for subs? Thanks

Yes. Any high-quality RCA cable will work. This one is most likely advertised specifically as a subwoofer cable because... 1) If someone is looking for a cable for their subwoofer, they're probably more likely to buy one that appears to be designed exclusively for that purpose. 2) It means the designers have specifically tested this cable with amplified subs, which have a few of their own nuances (such as being particularly susceptible to 60 Hz interference from nearby power cables). The former is pure marketing, but the latter may be enough to consider choosing this cable over a similar product that doesn't specifically mention subs.

Why the subwoofer has to holes and this cable just one will this work on klipsch sub woofer

It depends on the year and model of your subwoofer. If you have an RCA type plug labeled LFE (low frequency effects) or it might say Sub Pre Out, then plug this subwoofer cable into it. If you have an older sub woofer model with binding posts or spring clips, they are designed to be used with 2 wire speaker cable. Most modern subwoofers have an RCA plug and sometimes 2 RCA plugs. The average person only needs one RCA plug for the subwoofer and the second one is for more specialized purposes.

Is this cable cl2 rated ( in wall rated) I don't see it listed

I bought this cable in 2014 or 2015. At the time, my contractor said it was fine to use it in walls as long as I had it running through conduit. I don't recall if it was riser- or plenum-rated, however.

What connections do you utilized for the above cable for the back of this polk audio subwoofer?....where does the cable go at in the rear of sub???

I used this cable to run between the back of 2 wall plates in the wall so that I didn't have any cables showing. This is not a cable that goes directly into the subwoofer. I used a small RCA splitter male to male for that.  It provides the RCA split into the audio cables (red/white) that got plugged into my subwoofer.  You can find that on Amazon as well (Item Description = RiteAV - RCA Splitter Male to Male 6 INCH)
