I did not encounter any of that; however, I will say that I put my muslin towels in a large delicate bag, on a delicate wash setting, washed it by it's self in a front load washer. I did not put these towels in the dryer, but let them hang air dry instead. I was surprised at how fast they dry and the towels are soft and fluffy every time. No damage at all.
