Overall, this is a solid product that does its job well. The magnification is clear, the LED light is bright and helpful for detailed work like jewelry repair or crafts. However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind: the LED light uses 3 AAA batteries, which makes the unit feel a bit heavy after extended use — I definitely noticed some nose fatigue after a while. Also, it takes a minute or two to get it properly adjusted and ready, so it’s not something you can just throw on and start using instantly. That said, once it’s set up, it performs really well and is a great tool for close-up tasks.

A WORD OF CAUTION! 2 months of use and the side of the frame snapped in two! (where you plug in the strap or one of the side arms) Too my great surprise this item only has a thirty day return window and NO GUARANTEE PERIOD BEYOND THAT! Fortunately I was able to repair it . . . perhaps other purchasers will not be so luck as to be able to do so. I have not been rough with it or mishandled it in any way. It has been in use everyday for two months . . . disappointed with the low grade of brittle plastic. Original Review Sometimes you strike lucky and find a product that is a good price, does it exactly what it says it will AND you wonder how you managed without it? For me . . . this is one of those products. I am an artist . . . I draw very detailed abstract designs. I used to use 4x mag reading glasses with a large magnifying desk lamp. Getting the magnifying lamp head in the right position and in focus was an absolute pain . . . getting it to stay in position was another battle. Then I bought this item . . . which I now use 12 hours a day without problem — without the need for reading glasses OR the magnifying desk lamp. I wear it using the supplied head strap (the side arms unclip). The only niggle is if you don't need the side arms you also do not need the nose-bridge (support) - removing it (easy to do 2 small screws) but that exposes an area of the frame which becomes uncomfortable on your forehead. So the nose-bridge went back on - it doesn't cause problems, it doesn't get in the way. BUT a small self adhesive pad matching the rest of the frame's forehead lining would be a bonus to fill the gap left by the removed nose-bridge. One of the best products I've bought in a long time!!!

I've never wrote a product review but I had to with these, i got to be honest when I ordered these I didn't have high expectations. I imagined a blurry magnified mess or having to work at stupid distances to achieve some clarity and that they would probably sit unused in a cupboard or get thrown in the bin. However I was wrong. I bought these for my 28mm scale minatures, which lets be honest are you to darn small when it comes to faces and tiny detailing. I was WRONG. My close ranged eyesight isn't what it used to be and even with my reading glasses I struggled to see the really tiny details. These glasses are absolutely amazing. Producing crystal clear clarity at all 5 magnifications. Super easy to use. Just push the desired lens in and your ready to go. Removing the lens is just at easy. Pull the lens out and swap. So simple. The lens is on a swivel so you can just flip the lens up when you don't need magnifaction anymore. No need to take it off. Perfect. Unlike single traditional magnifying glasses theres not need to squint or close one eye or move your head around to achieve a image that's not blurry only to move a micro centimetre it's all out of focus. Not with these bifocal bad boys. It's just like having super telescopic vision and acts just like any other set of glasses you would wear. The lower magnifications are very forgiving with there focal range as well. Anything up to X3 (which was ample for even the tiniest of minatures, see pics) allowed for plenty of wiggle room whilst keeping crystal clear focus which I needed with my minatures as I'm constantly moving the model around. I was able to see mold lines that simply aren't visible to our eye. (Even with my reading glasses) allowing for perfection in cleaning up and painting models. This will be taking my miniature painting to new levels that is simply not possible without magnifaction and once you buy a set of these your wonder why and how you ever painted before. I can not comment on the light as I have a dedicated light on my workbench. Lastly comfortability it is darn pretty decent. For the first hour it did not even feel like I was wearing anything, but after a while you can feel the weight on your nose area, but that's to be expected. I wasn't uncomfortable by any means but it was noticeable. But I don't see myself wearing these for more than 2 hours a pop as I'll be mainly using them for cleaning mold lines and doing faces and other tiny detailing. Overall an amazing product for an amazing price. Treat yourself to a set of these and make life so much easier on yourself.

Althought it works for intended project and well made. Reasonably priced. I found the lenses on the small side. They are not very comfortable for long periods of time and not a great fit over your prescription glasses. The light has three AAA batteries which adds wait pushes down on the nose pads leaving marks on your nose. They also move down nose so constantly putting back into position.

This is an excellent device; I received it and used it the same day, and it does exactly what I want it to. The weight of the forehead battery box takes only a little time (more on that later!) until you don't notice it. The lenses are interchangeable -basically, find a magnification you like, and stay with it- the lens holder can be moved to and fro depending on your eye configuration, and swung up out of the way when you need to use an Eyeball Mark I! The LED's require three AAA batteries (Not included). If you don't use the lights, don't fit the batteries, to reduce the weight of the magnifier. There are two options for fitting the Magnifier; side arms like glasses (fitted), or an elastic strap. I found that the moulding lines on the side arms were razor sharp and needed sanding away before they sliced my ears off. On the other hand, the strap tension pulls the bottom of the battery box into your forehead... You will need extra padding there if you want to avoid a pressure headache. On balance, using the side-arms is the more comfortable option, once the sharp edges are gone. That option rests the magnifier flat on your forehead, where it should be.

This item has given me the help to continue adult colouring and hobbies that involve close-up work. Really pleased I purchased this. Only points I would like to see improved upon are (these are personal ideas, not faults) : 1. Perhaps slightly stronger thicker arms on the glasses. 2. Maybe the unit could be made a bit more lightweight at the front. 3. Perhaps some light extra padding where forehead and nose touchthe unit. I'd definitely recommend this if you struggle with smaller details in your hobbies. Certainly have made a difference to me.

Acheté pour enfiler le fil dans une machine à coudre. Finalement vu l'efficience du truc, je vais le mettre dans ma trousse d'urgence. Grossissement maxi formidable, pas toujours évident mais efficace.

Wenn man, wie ich, so ein Ding noch nie am Kopf hatte, dann ist es zunächst ungewohnt. Schwer und über 30cm sieht man rein gar nichts mehr. Man gewöhnt sich aber schnell daran, kann auf die Ferne an der Lupe leicht vorbei schauen und durch die Lupe sieht man gestochen scharf. Ich mache damit Handy Reparaturen, für die ich nur mit der Lesebrille nicht gut genug sehe. Mit dieser Lupe sieht man jedes Detail in der gewünschten (also je nach aufgesetztem Glas) Größe. Die eingebaute LED Lampe ersetzt wohl keine gute Arbeitsplatzbeleuchtung und das Plastik ist natürlich billig und haptisch ist das alles keine Offenbarung, aber für diesen Preis wirklich perfekt. Ich habe keinen Wunsch nach etwas Besserem.
