Amazing piece of kit
Got recommended one of these by Virgin Media tech as have black spots in our house with wifi (not even a big old grand house! 3 bed semi!). Honestly such a game changer! We have two upstairs as both myself and the husband WFH some days - no issues and stable connection with multiple devices connected and streaming. Easy enough to set up & link via the app and get above max speeds. Coverage is fab, there is definitely something in our walls affecting WiFi signals but as soon as in range its top speed. Husband is constantly on Internet gaming - no lagging, it's like he's on a wired connection. Like any WiFi keep an eye on your WiFi channels cause if a neighbour changes thiers it could interfere with yours however since having this set up it's happened twice in 4 years compared when just having the VM hub on WiFi and would be a weekly issue. Can't recommend enough!

Good kit but watch the initial setup and update the firmware
Bought the M4 three pack and one additional M4 unit for coverage of a large 1970’s ‘architect’ house. Once they are up and running they provide a strong and fast mesh WiFi without dead zones in a c. 3800 sq ft house, so do what they say they will do and we’ve been able to do away with the repeaters broadcasting additional SSIDs and all that. The app is excellent for monitoring and managing devices and access. There are so many deco models it’s important to sift through the tech specs and get something that matches or outperforms your original router. In this case I was matching up to a TP-Link Archer VR600 so chose the M4 fo the 300mb/s WiFi and gigabit ports. On the downside, the box contained three identical deco units and when attempting to set the first one up as the base station (Ethernet to the Archer) it was a complete no-go, it repeatedly failed to set up in router mode and couldn’t be switched to access point either. Reset it a number of times, nothing doing. Got into a queue for tech support at which point you wish you hadn’t started, and while I was waiting tried setting another of the decos up as the base station- worked first time. Reset #1 and it installed perfectly as the first repeater. So nothing lost but it wasn’t an experience that inspired confidence. However, it’s all been up and running for a week now without difficulty. One point to note is most of TP-Link’s Internet-of-things gear runs on 2.4ghz WiFi, and the deco main network will switch clients between 2.4 and 5ghz depending on load. We had various IoT lights etc dropping out of room groups and losing communication in the last week, and it was stabilised by firing up the deco guest network as 2.4ghz only and putting all the IoT stuff on that. It’s worth adding that to be able to select 2.4, 5ghz of both for a network you may have to do a firmware update if the stock has been on a shelf for a while.

Reliable extender for 2 storey house
Great wifi router - has solved the wifi issues we had in our 2 storey house with garden where the wifi wouldn’t reach to the back part of the house and one of the upstairs bedrooms. Now all rooms receive the same fast connectivity and are connected to just one wifi name. Pretty well priced for what you get

Great value for money
Had an earlier model of this wireless mesh extender which worked OK but didn't quite have the performance I needed. Luckily these new ones are backwards compatible with the older versions and they are pretty fast. Excellent value for money easy setup and quick delivery. Took care of my video streaming etc

Super fast wifi
I bought this because I moved to the Philippines and the wifi is super fast with it. I've measured the wifi speed online and it's so much faster. Definitely works. All you do is plug it into the router with an ethernet cable. Highly recommend.

Great but of kit!!
I bought 3 of these a few years back after my boss reccomended them. Wow what a great bit of advice that was! We were with Virgin Media at the time and we had just moved house. The Internet was awful. Intermittent and some of our devices just wouldn't connect. We got an engineer out who actually said we had too many devices and it can't cope! I did some research and sure enough the broadband providers supply sub standard routers that cannot handle many devices. Queue this Mesh solution! You turn your providers box into a modem and then plug this gadget into it. It's takes over and organises your wi-fi. Previous black spots in the house and garden are now serviced. All our devices connect and on the whole no issues (other than the odd one where you just reset once in a blue moon) The Deco app is good, you can see all the devices and what they are drawing from your Internet. You can lock it with a password and it has protection built in also. You can set up connection profiles for your kids. When mine were a bit younger and still at school I had a cut off at night so they had to go to sleep. You can see thier usage, you get a monthly report on how long they've been on the Internet and what sites they use the most. You have a pause button so you can instantly disconnect your child! There are age settings so it will block content that is not age appropriate. There are optimisation programs for getting the best out of your Internet. There is a camera detector so you can see if someone is spying on you. The list goes on. This particular model is probably a little outdated now. It may not support the higher broadband speeds , check the specs. However for the price it is well worth it. I have used with Virgin and Sky with no issues.

Look elsewhere
Better mesh systems out there. Max speed over network is about half that at router.
