Think of it as a precision trash can..... I have looked at a lot of these type of items to finish off a sump hole, and of all that I searched for, this one comes the closest to being ideal. First, the depth was what I wanted; I was not looking forward to going even deeper just to add the liner. Next would be the fact that there are no pre-formed holes, so you can modify it the way you want. And lastly, the availability of a secure lid system which will allow me to seal it effectively to prevent any moisture or smells, (as well as critters) from getting into the finished basement space. This was by far the most effective system of the ones I checked out. What I like: Ideal diameter and depth. Good, heavy quality without being overly difficult to maneuver. No pre-drilled holes. Matched lid system available to complete the project.What I don't like: Maybe a tiny bit overpriced when you include the lid components. It would also have been nice to have some line/grid patterns formed into the sides so you could bore holes at the desired depths without measuring and marking.Overall, I am very pleased with this system to finally be able to give the hole in my basement a neat, finished look.

Worked great and was easy to dill extra holes in for water to drain into.

This is a basic basin. No holes. I bought the 20.5'' cover as well which fits well, although I had to cut the lid to allow it to close and open with the pipe inside. Does the job very well.

second one bought. A little less deep than the ones at the home center and that is exactly what I needed. Very heavy duty, and priced so low compared to the home centers.

This sump basin is made nice and a good size if you are digging into clay ground and you dont have to dig deep to burry it. The sump has no holes in it you have to drill your own. I drilled a 4 inch hole in mine and it was easy to drill into.

Perfectly sized for the Zoeller sump pump. solid as a rock.

Very strong liner and is holding up quite nicely in the floor of my basement.
