This thing is so cute! We use it for our spoiled turtle! It's not waterproof but it's washable! The cushion easily pulls out! It's great quality for a bed.

I bought this bed to keep my guinea pig warm during the winter. He absolutely LOVES it. My guinea pig weighs 1 pound, 8 ounces. I read the product descriptions, and bought an XL crocodile bed. The Large bed was described as being suitable for a 1 pound, 8 ounce guinea pig. The XL is for an adult guinea pig weighing 1 pound 8 ounce plus. The XL gives him space to grow. It came vacuum packed, with all of the air sucked out of it. It regained its shape after I took it out of the plastic. The outer bed looks like a crocodile. Inside of the bed, there is a white pillow, zipped inside of a pink pillow case. My guinea pig will sit on top of the pillow (inside the bed), or he will nestle underneath the pillow to sleep. Although the outside of the bed says it should be hand washed, I ran it through the washer once, and then hung it up to dry. None of the pieces fell off, and it maintained its shape. I unzipped the pink pillow case and removed the white pillow. I did not wash the white pillow. It looked like it would fall apart if I washed it. I then machine washed the pink pillow case and hung it up to dry. It held together well, and my guinea pig was very happy to have his newly-clean bed back in his cage. Unfortunately, my guinea pig does poop in this bed. I dump the poop out, and then wash it as I described above. I am not sure if the outer bed will stand up to constant machine washes. I may change to hand washing it, if it shows too much wear.

Our guinea pigs LOVE this. I sew some of our own fleece toys so I was only willing to pay for truly cute beds. I got the L and should have gotten the XL as two will only fit in it as long as they are babies. I think a L would just barely fit one big pig. (I am buying more L however to use as 'cuddle cups' for the kids to hold them in their laps.) These are perfect for 'capturing' escaped piggies or happily transferring them to a temp cage on cleaning day with zero trauma. They feel very safe and happy in it. It is very well made and just as cute in person. The 'tongue' area is removable with a washable cover which is a nice touch but current indications suggest if you leave this in the cage the entire thing WILL need washing once in awhile. I thought the crocodile was a little 'dark' but my son talked me into it bc 'Mama crocodiles carry their babies in their mouths' ;) I will update how well it holds up to washing. Very pleased so far!

Our piggies LOVE this hide!! They find it very comfortable, cozy, and warm. And I love the design and color!! So cute you guys!! It's so easy to wash. It's very durable....it keeps It's shape!!! So easy to use!! I'll be buying more in the future.

I bought this when I first got my 2 guinea pigs. They were small enough that one could fit in my hand, and they both had plenty of room inside. However, after one month, they both don't fit in it anymore. One will lay on top while the other lays inside. Also, guinea pigs are chewers (duh lol) so they chewed off and ate all the hair tufts, and all the fuzz around the opening. The cushion is easy to remove and throw in the washer, but they were always beneath that and so they peed on the bottom. Not easy to clean that. If you get this for a hamster or something that won't grow significantly, I would recommend this!

Material was nice and size was big but my guinea pigs keep doing there potty business in it and would get very dirty at the end had to throw it away bcs they would use it as a potty tray and to lay down in it

Die Häuschen sind sehr weich und kuschelig. Anfangs haben die Meeris Respekt gehabt und trauten sich nicht näher ran. Als wir jedoch eines reinsetzten, damit sie merken, dass es nichts tut, verloren sie ihre Angst. Jetzt würde ich keine Holzhäuser mehr kaufen. Diese sind gut waschbar bei 30° und haben bereits mehrere Wäschen überlebt. Der Boden kann extra rausgenommen werden und bei Bedarf öfter in die Waschmaschine. Bisher haben wir es aber immer komplett rein. Sie trocknen an der Luft innerhalb weniger Stunden. Die Meeris kuscheln sehr zufrieden darin. Die Größe ist ausreichend für ein Erwachsenes oder (bei uns) 3 Babys. Der Preis ist meiner Meinung nach fair und gut.

Lovely cosy bed for my guinea pigs. I took out the padded cushion and filled it with their hay because they like to cuddle up together. This allows them to have more space. It is good value for money and washes well.
