Locket is stamped out of cheap sheet metal and feels very lightweight. Hinge is surprisingly robust for what it is. The chain seems totally fine. If you're looking for a nice looking piece of jewelry that you can give to a kid and not have to worry about her breaking or losing it, this is a solid buy.
