I was afraid that they wouldn't be real gold and that they would bother my ears, but they are real gold and I have worn them all day and night, slept and showered with them and I love them. Only suggestion I would have been easier to see the size of them on a woman's actual ear to be able to select the right size instead of using milimeters. The sizing is in milimeters, and I didn't understand that form of measurement, so they arrived a bit smaller then I had hoped. But for what I needed them for, it worked out fine.
