Worked perfectly right out of the box.Slid it into a Vintage Dell Latitude D630 running XP-Pro (yup - in 2016!). Was recognized as "new hardware" and immediately mounted to the operating system without any need for drivers or setup Wizards. I was pleasantly surprised by this, considering the age of the Hardware and Operating System. I'd anticipated a prolonged internet hunt for an old driver - but none of that was necessary.Reads/writes/plays CDs (OEM or R/W), data backups, DVD's and Movies.
