Camco RV Water Tank Filler with Shutoff Valve - Quickly and Efficiently Helps Fill Your Water Tank and Eliminate Line Backflow - Features a 5/8" Tube (40003)

This is a very simple but very useful device that does its job and does it well. It's an attachment to a water hose that helps you fill a water tank via a "gravity fill" (i.e. non-pressurized) port. It does two things: (1) extends the hose into the pipe behind the gravity fill port, reducing spills, and (2) provides a useful valve to regulate and stop the water flow once your tank is full. It does both well; I have no complaints. This device isn't strictly necessary for filling your water tank, and I originally didn't think I'd need it. But now that it's solved the problems it's designed for, I can't imagine going back to life without it. For example, filling our water tank used to be a two-person job: one person to hold the hose to the fill port and watch for overflow, and another to hover over the water spigot (which might be some distance away) and be ready to turn it off at a moment's notice. Now the water flow can be turned off quickly via this device's valve, and we no longer need that second person.

I use this to fill the water tank on my camp trailer. A garden hose would not fit inside the fill hose and I couldn’t get the water to go down the fill hose l. This fits inside that tube and allows the tank to breathe letting the water in. If you are having trouble filling your tank, this is a must have.

I highly recommend getting 1 of these to fill up RV with. It gets it in the fill hole better, plus has turn on n off valve

Simple tool, but really make filling the water tank easier. For the price it's a no brainer.

Does the job

I use this when I fill my 1 gallon water jugs and boy does it make it easy and no mess. Has a little odor when you sniff the tube but I think that will dissipate with some time. But I drank water right out of it from the spring and I could not taste a thing. Which is an absolute must.

The quality is good, been using for over a year now to fill my truck camper. A lot easier than shoving the hose in the downspout and hoping it’ll stay in. Good bang for your buck if your looking for an easier way to fill your camper fresh water tank.

if you own a trailer you know although the port on our trailer is large enough you can stuff the water hose mostly into the opening but this little item just assure is that if you don't your trailer is still going to get filled up with water it's easy it's light you can stuff it in your little toolbox in the trailer and have it there when you're hooking up to or filling up sorry your freshwater tank if you're hooking up the city services then you don't use this of course. having made with plastic hoping I get a couple of seasons out of it I'm not rough on my stuff so it should be fine.
