The fabric isn’t that thin and unforgiving type, it’s sturdy and has a lot of stretch to it and it kinda holds everything in. I’m usually a medium or large so I ordered both and the medium fit perfectly. The medium fit my hips and butt just fine, but was super loose around the high waist and thus looked dumb; the size small fixed that waist issue and still left room for stretch and movement around my hips and butt without making the skirt look too tight on me. So if you have a bubble butt and a small waist and flat stomach or a lower back that curves inward a lot, I’d definitely consider sizing down so the waist part fits snugly enough! The rest of the skirt will stretch just fine if need be.The material of these skirts is mid-weight and not see through at all in the darker colors I own (black, charcoal). Thin and light enough to wear in warmer weather or with no tights underneath without making you feel or look naked, warm and sturdy enough to wear layered with thick or fur-lined tights in colder weather without making you look bulked up with tons of fabric. Moves nicely with you when you move.Just SO versatile and comfortable. I dress mine up with pumps and blouses for a classic look, or wear with Doc Martens for casual, and these skirts just always adapt to fit the look. I really can’t say enough good about them. Start by ordering one to determine or confirm your best size, then go back and get multiples once you nail that down!!
