3M 35132 Mar-Hyde 3513 One-Step Rust Converter Primer Sealer, 1 Quart

The instructions must be read and understood throughly before use. Loose rust must be removed but not the embedded rust. 25 minutes or total absorption is needed between coats. Two coats did it for me. Truly a modern marvel!

my husband loves this product, paint the rusted area and then you can paint it with anything you wish.He has used it on our RV, Cars, Trailers and railings .

Mar-hyde is thick. I apply with a cheap brush and push it into all the areas need. 2 coats as directed. Wait 12 hours and paint.

If you follow directions on the bottle this stuff works great.

It’s good primer over welded joints on galvanized pipe. Have used it for years. Ordered it, waited 2 days, it arrived!

Applied the product per the directions to steel ductwork that had some surface rust. Let it sit for 24 hours and then applied a second coat. The product is very "thin" and is difficult to apply to a vertical surface; that is, it doesn't have the consistency of paint and maybe it's not supposed to. After two coats and 48 hours of drying, the rust is still visible on the ductwork. It did not turn black as the product's information suggested. It may be sufficient as a primer, but it does nothing to cover the rust.

This undercoating works absolutely well! Easy to use and better yet extremely effective! This stuff can help to restore and protect a car frame!

Finally, an effective product which actually converts rust into a paint-able primer surface. I've been looking for years for a quality replacement for Eastwood's "Corroless" product, which is used on bridges and ships. No longer available to the public in US, only in Europe. Mar-Hyde 3513 does the job. Thank you "Tool Deals" for providing such a great product.
