Unfortunately my hair still gets wet and not just at the edges. This will work for the splashes and light recreational swimming but not if you are doing laps or going underwater. So if you are looking to keep your hair dry or protected from chlorine this won't work. I have a big head along with my big hair so I was surprised that the seal wasn't as tight as I'm used to with other caps. I do like the generous coverage of my ears which helped mostly prevent water getting in my ear canals (I do wear ear plugs when I swim as well but they fall out occasionally). I do recommend this cap. It's comfortable and mostly works but I will continue my quest for the swim cap that actually keeps my big hair dry and fits my giant noggin.
