I've been a big fan of Osmocote time release fertilizer for years. I use it when doing new plantings and then at least once during the season around each plant. It's great for renewing old potting soil and bringing it back to useable again. You can save money by taking your old potting soil from the previous season, removing any roots and dead material and then adding osmocote. Extremely cost-effective. Highly recommend.

Great fertilizer. I use exclusively for our fig tree farm's potted trees and it works great. The time released granules are neat and clean to handle, easy to disperse, and have no odors at all. My trees grow better and fruit better with this fertilizer. I swear by it. Buy the biggest bags and save $$.

I like Osmocote fertilizer and this was a reasonably good buy considering the cost of fertilize right now (2026). I find it feeds fairly well for a good period of time and does not burn plants if used as directed.

Received the package in time. However, was a bit taken aback to see the jars containing dosage instructions on applying liquid osmocote fertiliser, while the jar itself had solid pellets that look like the earlier version of osmocote! I hope I received I’ve received the authentic product!

The best slow release fertilizer.

I've found this recommendation on a youtube channel and was happy to find this plant food on Amazon ! What a difference in my hydrangeas! They really bloomed and doubled in size since using this fertilizer. I will buy again.
