In the early 1970's when my father was 19 he took a break from the National Guard and took a two year sojourn to Helsinki Finland. While he was there he become fluent in the language and lived amongs the Finns. We here at Hatchet Eyewear have always been intrigued by Finland because of the stories we heard from my dad growing up. He plans to return for another couple of years when he retires, and to pay homage to his love of Finland, we named this style Helsinki. These wood sunglasses have a familiar wayfarer-esque design and are made to fit any head size because they are fitted with spring hinges.
