We used this to hang 10 foot sheets on a 10 foot ceiling and it worked very well. The only downside was the cable would slip over a weld on the wheel spindle when raising. It scared me the first couple times until I figured out what was happening but it did not fail. Overall I was happy with the choice. **Q: Can this lift be used to hang vertically or are there extensions for the two arms?** A: No, only horizontally. May be hung vertically on a vault, but 2-12 pitch is as far as the lift will tilt. **Q: Does the panel cradle lock in the horizontal position?** A: Yes it does. **Q: Does the cradle lock in the horizontal position?** A: It doesn’t really lock in either position.
