Squier by Fender Classic Vibe '70s Jazz Bass V, Bass Guitar, Maple Fingerboard, Black

Budget guitar but very nice to play

This is actually my main instrument now, perfect for intermediate players looking at learning 5 string, I have always loved the weight of squire and fenders so not a problem for me, I would suggest investing in a good padded strap. The only issue for me is the set up is not the best (action is a little high and is a slight buzz on the low B string) will be taking this in to get it set up properly. Great sound over all.

I'm a guitarist, and wanted to branch out to play bass both for fun and for recording at home. I bought the natural wood Jazz V - it arrived in great condition. Plugged it up in a sansamp bass DI I have and it sounded great. I had originally bought an Ibanez bass (similarly priced), and while slightly more comfortable to play on the neck, it had some electrical issues and was returned. At the recommendation of a bass player I used to gig with years ago, I grabbed a Fender/Squier instead and am very happy with the choice.

Lo amo mucho

This is well made and plays very well. I was a little apprehensive after ordering but when it arrived we became friends pretty fast, Its extremely well priced, looks great and does all the things a jazz bass should do. I needed something last minute for a session and its probably (dare I say it) now a mainstay. It sounds actually what you would expect from a jazz bass. It sounds WAY better than its price. It would seem the pickups are wired for a hum bucking configuration when both are turned up (this is good!) I have an actual late 60's jazz bass and an assortment of others. Any mild hum you get with one or the other pickup off is probably normal for this particular configuration...

I buy this bass to give a break to my old Yamaha bb 5000 and let me tell you this bass guitar is lot better than I was thinking . I look at a lot of review on the web before I give it a try and that bass is pretty good I change the string for the one I like the most (ernie ball) and set it up and wow perfect, sound great with the rumble 500,nice finish, I will used it for gig and show without any hesitation.
