Either way, they are stylish enough to wear outside of work and I have thought about it several times. However, they are just steel at the toes and no support anywhere else. the sides are mesh but I thought that they would have been sturdier. If you are working with machinery, these are not ideal but if you are working in a place that just requires you to have them, they are fantastic. They are slightly too big but the problem can be fixed with a shoe insert, these shoes will hurt after a while. They are not ideal for 8-12 hour shifts without support. The packaging was a little odd too and I thought the shoes were ruined but they spring back to life when I put them on.
