From My Mudda's Kitchen: A Jamaican Cookbook

I was looking to make rice and peas for the first time and needed a recipe. Bought this book on a whim and thankfully, it came out great. My girlfriend said it reminded her of her grandma's rice and peas. Real easy to follow directions and now can't wait to try some of the other recipes.

Loved the recipes! My ‘significant other’, who is Jamaican, said ‘pretty close’ to what he remembers; but, the way he gobbled the food down suggested more than that! Actions speak louder than words!! Thank you

Great authentic recipes, Just wish the book had color images.

The book was defective. The pages were cut off and inserted upside down. I would never order this again. Extremely disappointed.

I loved this cookbook! Easy to follow recipes and the finished product is fantastic! My favorites are the brown stew chicken, curry shrimp and the ackee and saltfish. I also love the author sharing her personal story with us and the tribute to her mother. I plan to buy a few copies as birthday gifts to hand out to friends so they too can "visit" Jamaica whenever they feel like it!

Very thin booklet with only the well known jamaican recipes on the plus aide they're very basic recipes and easy to follow.
