Our house was built in 2012 and came with Delta towel bars that have sucked. They wobble and are impossible to tighten. It's because the mounting hardware for that brand sucks so bad. I was happy to find these Kohler bars for a decent price. The mounting hardware is much more solid. The mounting brackets stick out 1.5 inches from the wall, and the metal in the bracket is at least a 1/2 inch thick, so it is possible to solidly tighten these. Our Delta brackets were just sheet metal that bend like a soda can.Installation was a breeze since we already had holes drilled for a 24" in bar. We were just unlucky that our builder didn't give us quality bars like these. I'm glad we could correct the problem for a cheap price and without having to drill more holes in the wall. If you like the look of these bars, don't hesitate. They are the best at this price point.

I really like the simplicity and elegance of this Kohler towel bar. Installation was very simple. All it involves is 4 screws and a little tightening key to secure the bar to the anchors. I didn't use any of the other parts because I was installing this onto wood doors.I'm a DIY newbie and bought several of these bars for my laundry closet door and bathroom. Be careful if you are buying from Amazon Warehouse Deals as sometimes manuals and documentation may be missing. In my case, the drilling template was not included and not stated in the description of missing parts.If this happens to you, here's an easy trick for getting the anchors installed with the proper spacing and alignment. Take both anchors off the bar and use tape to secure them to the wall or door you plan on installing them to. Check the fit by placing the bar back onto the anchors. If not good, adjust one of the anchors. If all is well, screw the anchors into the wall and install the bar.

I had these towel bars in a prior apartment that I lived in and loved them so much that I purchased them for my house. They look so classy and substantial and are definitely a step above a typical towel bar. I would recommend and hope that Kohler does not phase this design out!

Love the look of this towel bar with the matching "Kohler K-37055-CP Alteo Robe Hook, Polished Chrome" and my faucet (Delta 521-PPU-DST Classic Single Handle Centerset Lavatory Faucet, Chrome). The bathroom is really pulled together with these pieces. Looks bold and classy, not to mention it feels really sturdy. Not too difficult to install, one side mounted into a stud, the other in drywall. Had to call Kohler, had no idea how to work the little inset screw thingie (already forgot what they call it), but even for a novice, the installation wasn't bad. Totally recommend it :)
