Works brilliantly โ drained my hot tub in no time!
I used the Veaton portable water pump to drain my LayโZโSpa, and it worked perfectly. Setup was really simple, and it started pumping water out almost instantly. It drained the whole tub much faster than I expected โ a huge time-saver compared to doing it manually or waiting for gravity to do the job! The pump is compact but powerful, and it comes with everything you need (including hose and attachments). It handled the hot tub water with no issues at all. If youโve got a hot tub and want a quick and easy way to drain it, I highly recommend this pump. Itโs well worth the money and does exactly what it says.

Amazing
Absolutely brilliant. Emptied my 1200 litre hot tub in 10-15 mins. Bought a 38mm lay flat hose and attached to the pump outlet. Job done.

Powerful pump
This pump shifted loads of dirty water very effectively. Powerful jet of water! We struggled a little with the float which controls the on/off mechanism but after looking at the instructions, we hooked it to the body of the pump and it worked very well. A good purchase.

Great Pump but make sure to use the right hose
Needed to empty out dirty water from two 1m X 1m X 1.2m deep holes made for soakaways and about 20m of trenches around 900mm deep. Bought a 20m long 1 inch layflat pipe but it didn't reach the drain so added a bit of hose pipe at the end (3m). It took 4 hours to drain the first pit. 9000l per hour? something didn't add up I replaced the hose pipe with a propped up bit of soil pipe I had let the 1 inch pipe drain into that, pump drained the second pit in around 15 mins :). To use this pump properly you must have a minimum 1 inch pipe all the way. Anything narrower is going to choke it and I suspect cause it to burn out. Fantastic pump for the price. Takes A couple of mins to clear out the air but once it get going it's great.

Fab Pump, Superb Performance
Bought this submersible pump to empty our hot tub on the back of reviews. Wow it didn't disappoint at all, great little pump, emptied our hot tun in 15mins. Ok it leaves a little water but that's easy mopped up. I used a 1-1/2" lay flat hose (30m long) and a rise of about 2m. I bought a full bore adapter to fit onto the pump to maximise flow rate although you can use the adapter supplied, probably need to cut the smaller sections of to avoid flow restriction. Can't say how well it works with smaller hose sizes but given its power I would imagine it would still be good. Overall great wee pump and good value for money.

Does the job very well
Bought this to empty water "After digging a sump hole in coal pit in my cella" , Wow this is well worth the money drilled throught and piped to a drain got it on auto "with the float switch" used th pipe for the suction took the none return valve out as stated pushes the water 2m up and 2 meters to the drain will have to put bends on to direct into the drain as it blows the water out , does exactly what i needed it for great !!

Float switch not reliable
I've got this in a pump chamber that fills 20 - 200 times a day. Often enough to be a problem the float switch fails to activate despite being fully under water and upright. In the last two weeks this has happened at least every other day. Also the pump likes falling over - probably because all the bottom of the pump is plastic so it lacks weight at the bottom. When it falls over the float switch usually keeps it running continuously until I notice and stand it up again. In fairness, it's not overheated and died despite running for hours out of water due to falling over.
