Fun! Difficult, just the way I like it.
I love Kakuro puzzles. This book is a great size, many puzzles, but the best part is the spiral! So easy to use! Will buy more in this series.

Perfect Level of Difficulty
Kakuro are my favorite type of puzzle. This book kept me occupied for 6 months, and I couldn't be happier with it. Most of the puzzles are quite difficult, and a few I messed up too badly to complete. This book, true to its title, is challenging, but the puzzles are also solvable. And you get that sweet feeling of accomplishment when you solve a particularly tricky one.

Great Kakuro book.
This is a great level for me. Level three wears me out.

One of my favorites
I agree with the previous reviewer that the puzzles in this level 2 series are about on par with Black Belt. Black Belt hits that sweet spot: I can complete every puzzle, but they are definitely challenging. I've been looking for a similar book,, and Absolutely Nasty 2 delivers. To provide context for others who are searching for a specific challenge level: Brown Belt is slightly easier, so it's my relaxing -don't-want-to work-too-hard-at-it book. The Second Degree Brown and Black belt series are much harder for me, and I have only completed about half of the puzzles. The Absolutely Nasty 3 book is about on par with the second degree series. I have found, however, that the more I stick with the harder AN3 and 2nd degree books, the more puzzles I can complete - but I still have many that are unfinished. An added bonus for this AN line: the spiral binding is WONDERFUL, and the quality of paper is EXCELLENT! Can't go wrong.

Not as hard as I though it would be - spiral binding is great!
I have been doing Kakuro puzzles for many years, back to the days when they were called Cross Sums (35 years ago?). I'm pretty good at it so my favorite is the Black Belt Kakuro book which has be around since 2006. I was pleased to see this new entry in the genre, so I ordered the second book in the series. It is at about the same level as the Black Belt book. One feature which is really nice is the spiral binding which makes the book much easier to hold. I look forward to trying the third book in the series.

tough but fun
I love the challenge of these! The puzzles are tough enough that it takes time to solve but not so tough as be frustrating. So far, I've been able to complete 20 of them with only one "cheat" when I'd obviously made an error but just couldn't find it.I especially like the spiral feature of the book that helps keep it open to a puzzle without cramping my hands to pry pages apart. It also helps the pages to lay flat.

I love this book
I love this book. All the puzzles are challenging but not in ascending order so there is the element of surprise each time you start a new one. The binding makes it easy to fold in half and flip to the cheat page. There are so many puzzles it will take me a long time to finish but I'm certain I will just re order this book once I am done.Btw - if you don't know what kakuro is, download an app and test it out but the book is way more fun than any app I can find. If you like sodoku but need a challenge then kakuro is for you!
