I don't pay much attention to expiration dates, but there isn't one on the bottle. There is only a batch number and a 'Keep refrigerated after opening'. I finished a bottle 7 months after purchase and it was still good.

Is the sweet and sour sauce pretty much the same as you get in most chinese restaurants?

The Minor's sweet & sour is more of a yellow sauce with pineapple chunks in it, so if you are used to a red sweet & sour (as I am). However, it is the best sauce I have been able to find and I am on my second bottle and plan to keep ordering it. For a red sauce, there is Kikkoman No Preservative 57% Less Sodium Sweet and Sour Sauce, 5 Pound (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07216J4CX/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I find it to be a bit spicier than I like, but that is still pretty mild for a lot of people.
