Good tools, great value
Well made works well, good price. Stop using needle nose pliers or tweezers and buy these tools! They will pay for themselves in reduced frustration and scratches to that new firearm project.

They work.
This punch set feels durable and should work well. Proper use of these shouldn't involve a heavy beating so, for what they are designed to do, they should last a long time.

These little things are a must have tool for the AR work bench
Again I just finished a custom build and used punches to remove a number of roll pins, however putting them in is a different story, especially if your working with roll pins that are between 1/4" and 1/2" inch long or shorter, I was upgrading the charging handle latch on my nephews AR to an extended AMBI battle latch and removing the pin was the easy part. I don't have big meaty hands and fingers, but trying to hold the latch against the spring and align the holes in the handle housing and the latch wasn't easy and on top of that trying to drive in a tiny roll pin too was almost impossible, after the pin slipping and popping off a few times and eventually flying through the air to unknown locations never to be seen again I ordered a new roll pin and a set of starter punches, when the new pin and starter pin punches arrived I took another stab at it and using these little suckers with the roll pin I was done in 30 seconds and never once did I loose grip of the roll pin or ihad it popped out and go flying through the air, it was the easiest roll pin install I'd ever done so if your working on firearms or anything else that uses roll pins these are a must have, especially if your installing a low profile gas block with shorter then normal gas block roll pins it's even more of a must have tool, yeah they are a little expensive but are worth every penny BC

This set works, just go slow!
I read countless reviews worrying about quality and possibly bending any of the roll pin starters, I decided to pull the trigger (pun intended) on this one, I’m glad I did! I had no issues and the quality is great for the price. If you are bending these then you are going too fast and hitting too hard. Go slow and take your time, it shouldn’t require so much force seating pins and if it does then something ain’t right.

A must have for starting AR roll pins
Looking to save a little time and taping while assembling your sporting rifle? Well look no further... These, once used a few times to loosen up the tolerances, have saved me from having to tape up the lower to drive the bolt catch roll pin in. When used in conjunction with a small brass hammer and an appropriate 3/32 brass punch, this will start the pin and before it bottoms out the guide, it will leave 3/16 to 1/4 to drive the rest of the way in. I have stopped taping up the sides of the lowers during assembly since this eliminated the worry that the standard punch would slip off and scratch the finished surface of the receiver. These starter punches were a great addition to my tool set and were well worth the money. These should last a long time for those who are hobbyists, but those who build an Army's worth of rifles may peen the end over in time.

They work OK
These spring pin starter punches are okey for what you're paying for them. I used them to build an AR and they worked fine. They are not very long and didn't work that well while installing the bolt stop pin which is the hardest pin for me to install. The metal seems brittle and not something that would withstand vigorous use. I have replaced them with a set from Midway that are well made. This reviewed set I keep in my range bag tool kit for emergency repairs.
