Worth the purchase
I'll start off by saying that this is my 2nd & 3rd purchase of this cabinet. Living in a home built in the 1800's, we lack storage! The first one was purchased two years ago and used as a linen closet for my bathroom. After renovating our pantry this past week, I purchased two more of these to put side by side. This gives me lots of storage! I can tell you the instructions improved immensely on these since my first purchase. Very clear and easy to follow this time around. Even the nails/screws/pieces were clearly labeled. Here are my pro's and cons: Pro's -Instructions were very clear and the unit was surprisingly easy to put together (except for the doors - you'll need a 2nd set of hands to align the hinges). But being a tiny woman, I managed to put these together in no-time. -The hinges on the door do allow you to adjust the doors both horizontally and vertically in case they don't look even. The first cabinet had a big gap between the doors when I first installed them. The second cabinet, the right door fell a little lower than the left. Adjusting fixed it a bit. -You can easily adjust the feet in case your floor is slightly uneven to adjust the unit. I put two next to each other and this feature came in very handy. -Shelves are deep and adjustable. -Looks modern and clean Cons: -The door handles on one of the units are not even. Meaning, the holes were drilled slightly off. Nothing I can do about that one. Hardly noticeable, but I see it.... -As great as this unit is, the back of it is severely lacking in quality. It's literally a piece of cardboard backing (not even particle board). How is this possible?? -The doors close SUPER loudly. Maybe i'm just used to my soft close kitchen cabinets. I purchased cabinet bumpers to help with this. It made a difference. -While the shelves themselves are sturdy, they are made of particle board. I made the mistake in my bathroom cabinet of storing some liquid soap bottles in there and my iron. BIG mistake. I had a leak and the shelf bubbled and warped. Just a heads up to use contact paper or liners if you plan to store anything with a liquid. Overall, I am very happy with how these came out. They serve the purpose, look great, and didn't cause me to lose my mind when installing. These are worth the purchase!

Good value for the money
This is a sturdy cabinet...but not fine furniture. Thatโs just not possible at this price point. Yes, itโs made out of MDF. Yes, itโs a laminate surface. However, it does not feel fragile, will be easy to keep clean, can store a lot for its size, and is reasonably attractive. Thatโs why it gets five stars from me. The color is accurate from the pictures on Amazon, and no discrepancies from the product description. Itโs good value for the money. Better than most Pre-Pak furniture. Start to finish, it took me about 2 hours to put it together, with just a little help from a friend to turn it over, hang the doors, and move it into place. He helped during commercials while watching a football game. Iโm a 66 year old grandmother with a few basic building skills...I do know how to use a hammer and a Phillips screwdriver, which is all thatโs necessary. All the parts, including the presorted hardware, are all labeled and instructions are clear. If you go step-by-step, handle the pieces carefully, and work on a soft surface, you should have no trouble putting it together without damage (or too much frustration!). With each step, donโt tighten the screws completely until all of them are started. Be sure you have the piece squared up before you nail the backing (VERY IMPORTANT), and youโll have little to no trouble hanging the doors and getting them even. I was surprised that my doors required no adjusting at all. Iโve put together a few pieces of IKEA furniture, and this was similar in difficulty. Note that each shelf has a 25 pound limit, and nothing heavy on the top. About the packaging.... I was a little worried when it arrived. The outside was loosely wrapped in heavy plastic, and it looked like it might be damaged at the ends. When opening the box, however, all the pieces were fine. There was only a little packing inside, but very sturdy corners added to box. Be sure to check all the pieces before tossing the box and packing.

Ordering this was a little "iffy" but it worked out well
Aesthetically appealing storage cabinet at a decent price. Because of the negative reviews, I had some reservations about ordering this storage cabinet. Based on reviews, it seemed that because of quality control issues, meaning damaged parts or missing hardware, I was concerned the cabinet I might receive would be hit or miss. I'm happy to report that everything I received was fine, except for a few small imperfections on the exterior cabinetry... meaning nicks or scratches on the surface. Although these imperfections aren't glaring, this is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. This product is very heavy. My box actually had a label cautioning that the weight was over 75 pounds. I needed this cabinet upstairs so had to drag it into the house to unpack it downstairs, then carry pieces of it upstairs for assembly. I'm a 63 year old woman but consider myself DIY handy. I assembled this cabinet on my own. The cabinet was fairly easy to put together. The instructions for assembly are clear and very easy to follow. I had some issues with assembling the base. Mainly lining up the screws on both sides of the base but, with some persistence, I eventually assembled the base just fine. The cardboard backing was a little tricky because it comes folded in the shipping box. Because of this, there is a tendency for the cardboard backing to sag in the middle, making it difficult to align it perfectly square on the back of the cabinet. I never did get it to line up perfectly square, however, I was able to get the backing lined up enough that it didn't overlap the sides of the cabinet. The doors were also a bit tricky. After standing the cabinet upright, the instructions say to attach the left side door first. Being right handed, it would have been easier to attach the right door first. The reason being, the doors don't fully open to the side. The doors open perpendicular, 90 degrees, to the cabinet. This allowed very little room for me to get in there and attach the right door, so had to use my left hand to do so. Since I was putting this cabinet together by myself, I used a very thin book (estimated between an eighth to quarter inch) to help prop up the doors to help get the doors to the proper height so I could easily attach them. Once the doors were in place, I did have to make minor adjustment which I found very easy to do. The door adjustments are clearly outlined in the assembly instructions. All said, I enjoyed putting the cabinet together in spite of having a few minor frustrations. I felt accomplished in the end. I have this cabinet on carpeting in an office space and unlike some of the reviews, this cabinet feels stable and sturdy. I did not find it necessary to attach the wall mount support. I am very happy with this purchase, however, like I said, what gets shipped to you can be hit or miss. I ordered another piece of Sauder furniture to match this cabinet for my office at the same I purchased this item. The bottom of the cabinet (Part D), and the front skirt (Part H) were not the correct pieces for this cabinet and too large by two inches. I had to return that item and re-order. But, that's a whole other review! If everything goes well, the Sauder products are great and well worth the money. If things don't go well, it can be a pain. With success of this particular product, I would still recommend it.

Easy to assemble perfectly packaged
I bought one of the these Sienna Oak cabinets about 5 years ago and it was so easy to assemble and looked great and has held up perfectly that when I needed more cabinet space I didn't hesitate to go back to the Sauder brand. I found the exact same cabinet and it was as easy to assemble as the first time I remembered. The package came in a well protected box with heavy, heavy duty cardboard around all the edges so no damage at all was able to chip off the edges. The price was right too. Big enough to store my larger appliances and all my canning! The depth is 17+ inches which was hard to find in some cabinets so it fits my big stuff. All the pre-drilled holes are perfectly placed but I think the best thing is the directions are so easy to follow, even this 73 year old woman put this together by herself in about 2 hours. All I needed was a screwdriver and a small hammer. The backing could be stronger like other reviewers mentioned but this has caused me zero problems over the years. The two cabinets fit together so perfectly they look like one. If I buy furniture to assemble it is going to be Sauder. I've assembled plenty of items but these directions are the best. I would buy again!

Perfect for office or craft room!
I love these shelves! I now have 3 of them in my office/craft room. Sizing was as described in the details - I like that they are a good height where I can still put some things on top without hitting the ceiling. The shelves are adjustable inside but sturdy even when you take out the pegs and adjust the shelf height. Assembly was pretty straight forward.

Top quality cabinet to organize our pantry clutter!
Love this cabinet! We used to have a two tier Ikea changing table (for babies) in the corner of our dining area to hold some of our pantry items. We had it packed/stacked to the max and it was an eye sore to look at since there was no rhyme or reason on how we organized our stuff there. Like my title says, it was a clutter. This cabinet fits PERFECTLY in that corner. With it we are able to organize all that clutter with plenty room to spare! I decided to configure the shelves to match what the assembly instructions show. That configuration is optimal for us, with the bottom and top spaces being tall enough house a 6-qt Instant Pot. The middle three spaces arenโt as tall, but still tall enough to room cereal boxes and 1-gallon jugs. The quality of the cabinet is top notch, very sturdy and not flimsy. Nothing cheap about this cabinet. The paint job is good and the doors open/close fine. Assembly took me some time, but thatโs because I had a lot of interruptions. With no interruption and full focus, Iโd say it would have taken me maybe 1.5 hours, two at the most to assemble. This includes unboxing, cleaning up, and adjustments. Assembly instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The longest parts for me to do was nailing in all 40 nails to secure the back panel and getting the doors on. The most frustrating part for me was getting the doors on. I donโt know how many times I cursed out the doors when I was trying to get them on. It was a painstaking task for me to line up the hinge screw holes with the holes in the cabinet. I had to do a juggling act with one hand holding the door up, one foot helping out at that hand by lifting the door up from the bottom, the other foot propped to the side of the cabinet to keep it from moving back and the other hand to screw the hinges in. This would have been so much easier with another person helping me lift the door up. Initially, the hinge side of the doors rubbed against the cabinet when opening/closing them. With some adjustments on the hinges (instructions show how to do this), our doors open/close smooth as ever. We also made our cabinet mobile by putting some of those self-sticking felt pads under the cabinet feet so that we can easily slide it on the hardwood floor. In conclusion, if youโre looking to clear out some pantry clutter, you canโt go wrong with this cabinet!

Even I could do it
I bought this storage cabinet to put in my bedroom. I am typically not good at putting things together, but after reading the directions I attempted it. I reported a piece was missing and found out later it was there the whole time. But they did send the screws right away. (Sorry Sauder). The directions were pretty clear and I was able to put it together alone except for a little muscle to put it in place. Everything aligned up and It looks very good. I love it.

Frustrating assembly, mediocre but usable and sturdy result
I've assembled several products like this over the years, but this one was especially frustrating. First, I had to wipe down every piece as they were all completely covered in sawdust, something I've not experienced before. When attaching the feet, I ran into a problem where one of the screws wasn't making it all the way through the cone-shaped opening, which apparently was too narrow for the screw, and so I had to jam it through. Then when attaching the back piece, I made the mistake of following the directions (which are different from the downloadable ones here) and nailed down the corners first, which I should have known was a bad idea, as it prevented me from being able to spread it out flat as I went, and resulted in a bulge at the bottom (see pictures). The biggest pain was attaching the doors. For the first door, I followed the instructions and attached the hinges to the door, but then of course the holes in the hinges didn't line up to the holes on the cabinet, so attaching the door was very difficult, especially due to the size and weight and trying to hold it up while fighting with the holes. So the second door I decided to attach the hinges to the cabinet first, then attach the door to them, but that also proved difficult, between some some of the hinges not fitting into the cutouts in the door very well and having to have the door in the closed position to get things to line up, which then meant I couldn't see what I was doing. It was also far too easy to damage the door (see chip in picture) when installing the shelves, so be careful of that. And once fully assembled, there are a few fit and finish issues that prevent it from looking as nice as it should. One is with the shelves, where the unfinished end is visible as a light-colored line between the shelves and the walls. Not a big deal since it's inside the cabinet at least. But the other issues are more significant. One is that no matter how I tried adjusting the doors, I couldn't get them to line up. To line up one area would cause another to be out of alignment. So they are uneven at the bottom, which really takes away from the overall look of the cabinet. If it wouldn't be such a major pain, and if I had paid full price, I would return it for this alone. Another is that the top is unfinished, so it looks cheap from above, especially since it's just cheap particle board. Finally, there were no included pads, which you're going to want for something this heavy to make it easier to move, not to mention prevent damaging your floors, so I used some felt pads I fortunately had on hand, and the door stop at the top is just hard plastic--no rubber, no pad--so the doors slam very loudly, and I'll have to add another felt pad there as well, which will negatively affect the looks if it's not the right color. All in all, absolutely not worth full price. Barely worth it on sale, but expect a frustrating and time-consuming assembly experience. As I said, I've built several various RTA-type products, and this was by far the worst. I expected it to take maybe an hour, but it took probably close to three. And the end result, while functional and decent for the (sale) price paid, is far from great.

Great cabinet with just a few minor issues
The cabinet overall is a great product and easy to assemble. The finish is good and easy to clean. The variable choices for shelf designation is great, offering lots of choices. There are a couple of things that could be improved. 1) the backing of the cabinet is made of thin cardboard that is tacked on and does not provide any structural strength and if items are placed hard against could break. 2) The doors have spring loaded hinges that keep them closed but in my opinion are a bit week and should of had a magnetic catch at the top of each door.

They are very good cabinets.
We bought three of these for storage of various items. They have plenty of room for us, and I also like the adjustable shelves. We only wished that they were just a little bit taller. Still having issues trying to get the doors to fit closer together when they are closed.

Looks great and is exactly what I needed
Here are a few things - - We assembled the unit on a carpet. We had it laid down and followed the instructions on paper as well as the you tube video link provided on the instruction manual. - When we were assembling the U shaped base, we realized that if we aligned 3 of the screw holes, the 4th would not. So we used a power tool to create a slightly shifted hole. We did not need to use a drillbit . Just used the screw itself to do that. - Putting in the doors using the hinges - that was the trickier part - the doors are a bit mis-aligned from the top but only slightly mis-aligned at the bottom but luckily its not too visible from a distance. - There is a gap between the doors from where you can see about 1/2 inch of the shelving. I think we need to adjust the hinges to close that gap. It is not looking bad though. - The unit is located in our dining room and fits in nicely. It was a bit wobby until we added the shelves and dumped some heavy items on the bottom shelf. - After the storage items are loaded ( I am using it as a pantry ) it is steady and has weight and our cats are having a great time using the top of the unit as a hideaway. The dining table is working as a launch pad. lol - Note that the holes they made on the cardboard for the back from where to slip out the metal strip to attach to the wall was not in the middle so the strip comes out twisted. It would not be easy to get that comfortably attached to the wall.

Terrific purchase!
I purchased two of these cabinets to stand side by side in my mud room to hold kitchen appliances, closet type items and pantry items. It fits the bill and looks nice and clean in my mud room where before it was an open shelved mess. They are sturdy and wee easy to assemble. Highly recommend!
