Xeno Baby Mikey 0.38 Mm Slim Ball Point Pen Box of 12 (Black)

I purchased these Xeno Baby Mikey 0.38 pens to draw with since I needed to produce tiny, fine lines that wouldn't bleed and would be needing to shade hair and draw small portraits in ballpoint ink. These lovely, slim pens arrived very quickly and safely. The adorable box with the Baby Mikey cat and text delighted us all! These pens have absolutely excelled in their job (and made mine much easier!) and not a single pen out of 12 (we tested them all) has been inconsistent in ink output and line weights. They are very easy even for my shaky hands to control. I have been giving them to artistic friends and family since I loved their performance so much and find the Baby Mikey cat imagery and text quite endearing. :) The click of the pen is satisfying and crisp, and the ink flows easily and dries quickly on different kinds and coats of paper. I will definitely be buying these again in the future, and will use these for all kinds of drawings!

This is the only ball point pen that I'm completely happy with for art. The tip is much finer than most ballpoints. The barrel is super thin, which I prefer to the fat pens that are in style these days. The best thing about doing art with these pens is that in addition to the typical blacks you can get with any ink pen, it is relatively easy to get half tones (without hatching or stippling). That is very hard to do with normal art pens or gel ball points. These pens are about as close as you'll get to being able to vary of value (by lightening your stroke) as you can with a pencil, but unlike with a pencil, you can get total black with these pens. I use these pens, the Pentel gel ballpoint art pens, and Copic Multiliner SP pens. All are great. I can get finer lines with the tiniest Copic tips, but not much, and the ball points are less of a hassle to use. I find myself using these Xeno Lisa Larsen ballpoints more and more often. It's just easier to get the detail and values that I want in my art. Absolutely the BEST ballpoints for art. They won't completely replace the other art pens, but as I said, I've been using these more and more often for most of my ink art.

Amazing pens. I’m in healthcare and gel pens are frowned upon as they smear and are then illegible. These pens are amazing. Ultra fine point writes clearly and easily. I never have an issue writing small enough and having it be hard to read. These pens are super efficient with ink and seem to write forever. I absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs to write neatly, clearly, and small. Work great for sketching and design work as well. WARNING: buggers are SHARP! And they will stab you through clothes and draw blood. (Had it it my scrubs pocket, must’ve clicked it, and managed to stab myself.) Photo of 3x3 sticky note.

I write down a lot in my line of work, and these pens definitely hit the mark every time. To start, they are thin and easily stow away in my pen pocket, which helps when I need a pen to write something down quickly or if I know I'll need to fill out some documents and I'm out and about. These pens write smoothly and to my preference, fairly fine. I didn't think a ballpoint could be so fine and not compromise its usability, and that's were this pen shines. I'm one of those picky shoppers when it comes to pens, and this one is better than anything that I can get at an office supply store or department store. My ledgers are small and hardly have room for me to write much, so having this functional fine ballpoint pen really knocks it out of the park for me.

I'm liking the pens for their precision. I wish they had a grip of some sort where u grab it because it's sort of hard to write really fast and neat with these pens(during lectures). I definitely recommend getting the multi-colored pens from this company. Having different colors really transforms your notes and make diagrams/important concepts stand out. Buy these pens if you write casually. You might need something better if you plan to write lighting fast bc of the lack of grip. Also, the type of paper you write on will make or break these pens. These pens do not write on certain parts of paper(???) but will probably work on most papers. I wrote on staples spiral notebooks just fine.

I bought these pens for use at work, to be able to write in small spaces, like vaccine cards. My family like them also it seems. Out of the 12 pack, I only have one in my possession. Pen write well. No issues with leaky ink.

These are nice pens! They are colorful and fun! I like the fine point tip (makes it easy to jot very tiny notes in margins, etc.) I don't have anything negative to say about these pens besides the fact that they are not comfortable to hold. I have very tiny hands, but the barrel is so slim my hands get fatigued after long periods of usage. Overall, this pen is a typical ballpoint pen, yet with a fine tip and a stylish barrel. On the other hand, if you suffer with arthritis or carpal tunnel, I wouldn't recommend these. If not, I totally recommend them.

I’m on my second round of these! I love the way they write, nice and thin, the ink doesn’t smear and your writing just looks super slick. The ONLY thing Ineish was different about these pens is that they should have a different color scheme or design. I’m a male in the military and work around very high ranking individuals, I’m always hesitant to bring out my pin that has kittens on it lol other then that I love them.
