They came well packaged and are very beautiful, perfect for this little job. I had so much fun unpacking them. Most tiles are duplicated once, but I notice the duplicates are slightly different, so yes, every tile is hand painted. And yet, if my math is correct they work out at about $12 per square foot which is cheaper than a lot of factory made tile. I have trouble getting my head around that. I should point out, there are slight dimensional differences from tile to tile, maybe a millimeter or so on the squareness of a few and small thickness differences also. And some of them don't lay quite flat. I think this adds to the charm. I ended up not gluing them or grouting as they look fantastic just sitting in the trays. My wife and I are delighted with the result.
