You will not certainly die, says the serpent, but Eve knows to be wary the temptation of the forbidden fruit. Designed by world-famous fantasy and sci-fi artist James Ryman, this attractive statue depicts a bare Eve, standing in the garden, holding a red apple in her hand as the serpent coils itself up her body, enticing her to eat it, whispering temptations as she gazes into its eyes. It is artistically created in cold cast bronze, a process of mixing bronze powder with resin, giving it a solid metal appearance with a stunning antique bronze finish. This 8 inch high, 3.5 inch long, 3 inch wide statue is hand detailed with red and green colored accents that give it a visually exciting look.

I needed a Lilith focal for my altar and never was drawn to the Wiccan & Christian projection & Kabbalistic (occasional) demonic presentation. Lilith is described in Jewish culture both demonically and as a beautiful woman depending on her objectives and the period she was interpreted. Since this statute contains mixed symbolism—the female form gazing at snake rather than away (more Lilith than Eve), apple (very Eve) and the inclusion of roses & datura (associated with Lilith)—I chose it as a Lilith focal point. The skull brings it solidly in line with Lilith lore. Just a suggestion for those who seek relation to Lilith and are not drawn to the gothic demonic presentation of Lilith. Easy resin to work with using a rotary tool.

Absolutely love her. The details and craftsmanship is incredible. There’s so much detail. Really impressed by the quality and sturdy weight.
