Weatherproof light duty cable (2mm diameter) made with strong braided 7X7 stainless steel. Loops are large enough be looped through each other to form a nose to maximize length. 
 
 The cable is 48 inches (4 feet or 1.2 meters) and completely sealed with a 0.5mm clear PVC smooth coating for additional protection against the elements. 
 
 Lock not included with the purchase. 
 
 This light duty cable is not recommended for securing objects permanently or in areas without supervision. Any cable or lock, regardless of diameter and safety mechanisms, is only a temporary deterrent for a determined thief with the correct tools.

I travel in some dicey places in Asia. While I could not rely on this prevent theft of my case by a determined thief, it does add some piece of mind in many situations, preventing casual, opportunistic theft. I used to lock my carry-on to my chair when dozing in transit lounges. Sadly, security rules in many places don't allow one to carry this.

Perfect for traveling on train if need to luck up luggage while unattended. Size is compact and fits nicely in purse. Of course anyone with bolt cutter will cut through, but this is a detterent when you do don't have anyone to watch bags for a bit.
