Excellence Age Perfect Hair Color, 8N Medium Natural Blonde

Loved the color and was a solution for me. My hair was colored blonde on blonde, growing out with darker charcoal roots and with beautiful silver! I debated whether to go all platinum or silver, then decided that I do not want the tedious upkeep. I am familiar with taking care of my own hair as my precious momma once owned a beauty salon and taught me how to color and even streak! Mom passed away and now it is all up to me-difficult. So I looked through all the colors, and knew L' Oreal was very gentle on the hair, especially the conditioner (I used it years ago). I chose Excellence 8N Medium Natural Blonde, just for the roots with a quick 3-5 minute blend where the root meets the rest of the hair. Roots came up to a pretty blonde (even beige tone-not brassy at all) and I am very pleased that it took such little time, and looks lovely! Thank you L' Oreal- you can hire me to promote! Ha Ha

This product works really well IF you are 70 percent gray or more. If you're not mostly gray, it will come off darker than desired and you'll miss the multi-tone effect. It's not meant to cover a little bit of gray but is designed for people with mostly gray hair. My hair texture is fine and naturally curly. I started using L'Oreal Preference when I was about 40, gradually changed to L'Oreal Excellence as I got more gray. I switched to Age Perfect when it came out and went to a lighter shade than I'd used in Excellence. The tone on tone color and "highlights" are beautiful, my hair is soft, and the multi-tones really help blend my roots as they grow out so I can go longer between coloring sessions. The fine hair at my temples resists the formula a bit but blends in well with my colored har.

Did my hair yesterday. Havent used this brand or color before but I like it. I dont think it came out quite the color that was on the box. I have naturally medium ash blonde hair. I got this because I have a hard time covering some gray in the frknt. Time will tell hiw it holds up. So far, its really pretty and my hair is soft as butter!

My face hair color, but can be very hard to find. Gives a natural look with shade variance. No harsh smell. Lasts a long time. Others I have to color every 4-5 weeks. This is every 5-7. Fully covers grey.

I like this product so much that I put it on Subscribe and Pay! As a homebound disabled senior I still want to look nice and this product makes that possible. I have tried every type; foam, gel, oil, and brand and this is the best IMO. I have a hard time lifting my arms for long so go quite awhile between colorings. I am blonde with LOTS of grays coming in. I can get away with not coloring so often as it blends in better than if I were a brunette - but the fact that this color doesn't seem to fade helps. I find it easy to apply and even though I am not as precise as I used to be the color always seems to come out even and true. And it covers all the grays!

Love this hair dye. It does seem to cover the white hairs better, and it doesn’t give my hair an orange cast like some other hair dyes do. I’m buying it again for sure.

I tried this natural blonde to go a bit darker, but for some reason it gave a red tone to my hair. I used purple shampoo to remedy it. Am going back to the light blonde Loreal Excellence. I also like the Age Perfect in Light Blonde. Am trying to decide which I like best. It isn't a bright blonde, but I am not going for that look at my age. Just a nice natural flattering shade, and Loreal delivers!

I was pretty scared to try a color out of a box because I normally get highlights and lowlights. I have a significant amount of gray so that too was worrisome. Nearly a month later, my hair color still looks great. In fact, I think it looks even better as the color has settled into my hair. I definitely have highlights and lowlights which to me is essential so my color looks natural. My hair seems to have more body after using this product too. It was easy to use and only took me 30 minutes. I love it and already purchased my next box. .
