Update on 08/24/19 : This cream’s scent is subtle and I thought it was weak but after few more uses, it really grows on you and is very pleasant. This cream lathers nicely and it is one of the smoothest and slickest item I’ve shaved with. The residual slickness is absent, however, so those shavers that like to put the lather on once and have their razor go over their face multiple times may not like this. I noticed that this creams cleans up really easily and once you go over the lather with your razor, your face is not very slick. If you use this cream, make sure you re-lather your face for each pass, like it was intended. Some reviewer mentioned that they gave a low review because they were contacted twice (unwanted solicitation is what he called it) and I was contacted the same times. Once to let me know the product had shipped and second time to let them know if I was not perfectly happy with the product. I call that awesome customer service and just that alone tells me this company is here to stay. The more I use this cream, more I feel as if I will keep using this product since I’m amazed at how slick this cream gets, as long as the price stays affordable. I was using shaving soap and a friend of mine gave me a sample of Geo F Trumpers sandalwood shaving cream. It smelled great and was very slick so I decided to shop for some shaving creams. This product had great reviews and the price was just right. I received it today and couldn't wait to try this out! The scent was not really that great and I found that after my second pass, the scent from the bowl could barely be detected. Little dab does go a long way to make nice lather that lasted me 3 passes plus touch-up. It provided nice cushion and lathered on my face evenly. The protection was above average but it was little odd that there was no residual slickness on my face after the pass. That's not necessarily a bad thing since it does clean up nicely. I would be careful to re-lather any areas where your blades would go. I would have no problem keep using this product but when it runs out, I might buy the full size of the Geo F Trumpers to give that a go again. The package was nice and after the shave left my face really soft. Overall, I would recommend this product if you're not really that picky about the scent not being that strong.

Just got this, perfect timing for a shave. creamy great!. i used a little too much because it was just opened, and I kinda brushed a little off the lid. so of course I had to lather up like three times using it with my DE shaver. I love it, its my new fav. I used Shaving soaps more, but this was just too good. I highly recommend. Liked the peppermint and stuff too, helped with the burn, tho I still use an after shave. I liked this. you need only a teeny bit on the brush and you get a great lathering. oh, and my face has a absolute great shave, smooth as silk. im still touching my own face some because of it.

First, let me say that the product works as a shave cream. I got good shaves from it and the jar lasted several months. However, I won't be purchasing this again. I purchased it because it was roughly half the cost of the product I was using and had good reviews. It smelled great when I opened the jar. And never again. It had a very neutral smell after that. The biggest problem was the clumping. No matter whether I used a lot or a little, it constantly clumped up in the razor costing me time and a lot of water to keep it clean. When I switched back to my original cream, the problem disappeared. I'm guessing my shaves took 2-3 minutes longer each time and used at least 50% more water. That time doesn't seem like much, and it adds up. So, all in all, an effective product, just not for me.

This is outstanding shaving cream. Smells good, provides a smooth surface on my skin. Firms up the whiskers.

I have used this shaving cream a few times. It is easy to load up my brush and lather it in a bowl. I love the fragrance. I love the slick feel of the shaving cream. The price is reasonable for what you receive.

Was a little disappointed with the scent of this. Thought the lather was pretty good but strangely the shave was just okay. Was hoping for a smoother shave. That might be in part to do with me just finishing Tabac tho. Rich lather, scent and smooth shave. On the plus side, this is much cheaper than Tabac. Worth it? On the whole, yes, if money is the most important thing!

I've been using Taylor of Old Bond Street for well over a decade, but thought I'd give this a try. IMO this is far better. I like the scent and it does a great job creating a slick surface on your skin, which helps me avoid skin irritation and ingrown hairs. A little goes a long way, so start with a small dab (less than you think).

Got this for my husband! Just need a bit of product and fluffs up so well to apply and shave! I also got him the bowl and brush and he absolutely loves it!

This is a good product. And it does the job. Only 4 stars as it is costly and doesn't go as long as their shaving soap. Plus I find this a little sticky, kind of like shaving gels. So not the smoothest shave. It is easier to use than shaving soap which is the difference. All and all a great product but I'll be sticking to their shaving soap.
