S107G 3 Channel RC Helicopter with Gyro, White and silver

It's amazing what $20 can buy nowadays. After getting a cheap all-plastic chopper at Five Below that was a total ceiling magnet, borderline uncontrollable, Santa replaced it with this Syma S107G. The stability and precision of this thing is AMAZING. My son is almost 6, and he can fly it around our family room, taking off from the mini Ping-Pong table, buzzing his brother and some robots, then land it on the coffee table. That's how well this thing is engineered. About 30 minutes of charging gives you 6-8 minutes of flight time. We have crashed it on multiple occasions, and one of the blades did split. Replacement parts are easily accessible and cheap. It took me about 3 minutes to replace the white/silver blade with a white/yellow one using an eyeglass screwdriver. I'll attach a post-repair pic. Considering the number of crashes, times when the blades wacked the wood coffee table that is often our launch/landing pad, etc., I think the copter is very durable. After 2 months of almost daily use and a blade repair, it flies as well as the day I unboxed it. I bought a second one, so my son now has his own. Well worth the price, these are a lot of fun!

So one day while my family and I are at the park my daughter notices a RC airplane flying in the air. She is immediately enamored with it and decides that day she that is what she wants for her birthday. Unfortunately for her, there's no way dad is spending a $100+ on an RC airplane for a birthday present. So, I decide to go to Amazon to find something a little closer to a 6 year old's price range for a birthday present. This helicopter was the perfect choice! For what this is and how much it costs I am more than thrilled with the results we've had with it. We purchased it for $17 and have already gotten our money's worth out of it in the month we've had it. The kids love it, it's easy to use and control and it's a great, cheap way to teach them how to use and control RC toys. As long as you remember you're buying a cheap little toy RC helicopter you will not be disappointed. The battery lasts about 10 minutes, takes about an hour to charge. Do not plug it into anything that puts out over 600ma and wait a half hour before charging to let the battery cool down. This is what we have done and the battery lasts just as long as new 100 charges later. We have crashed it into a LOT of different things and so far the only thing that has broken is the rear wing right in front of the rear rotor. A pretty durable little toy for how cheap it is. You really can't go wrong for the price, durability and entertainment it provides!

Great little helicopter. Before this purchase, I had no experience in remote control vehicles or aviation. The Syma 107G is very easy to operate and very fun to play with. The options for charging the helicopter are nice; you can either charge from the controller (6AA batteries) or from a USB charger. Charge time seems to be about 40 minutes from the USB charger and flight time is probably around 6-8 minutes. This is a dual rotor (coaxial) three channel helicopter. Meaning it can move up, down, front, back, left and right. The dual rotor setup limits your front and back motion and also requires a calm (no wind) environment to fly in. I have flown this thing about as many times as I can charge it in the last 24 hours. I have had some nasty crashes. Which brings me to the biggest positive of this little helicopter. It is indestructible so far. I have dropped it from 60 feet onto a wooden porch with no issues. Hit the ceiling and sent it tumbling to its should be death, again no issues. This is the most durable Chinese toy I have ever encountered. Should it break, it appears that Amazon has numerous "prime" shipping replacement parts for very little money. My friend has recently been purchasing numerous remote control helicopters as well and he is jealous of how smooth and operable this helicopter is compared to his much more expensive ones. Overall, this is a great first remote controlled helicopter and has me hooked. I have already decided to move up to a 4Ch single rotor, but will continue to fly my Syma 107G indoors :) ::Update April 2013:: The little Syma is in fact indestructible, I have had it for a long while now and it still flies great. So great in fact, that there are now 4 S107's in the house. I have since moved on to Blade Helicopters and am in the process of learning how to fly a full 6ch collective pitch helicopter. The Syma was a great entry into RC helicopters and I would strongly recommend it still with only one reservation. This is a 3ch helicopter and the rudder left/right movement you learn on the right stick is not the same as all other control schemes past the 3ch. This ultimately forces you to relearn your stick controls and led me to have difficulty at first on my first 4ch which was the WL V911 (another great helicopter for the price).

I bought this to fly mainly in the house, as my "blade" helos are to fast/big to fly inside and I like to have options if it's too cold to fly outside. I was a little skeptic at first thinking it was knock off junk but decided that for around 20 dollars there wasn't much better out there. Shipping was amazingly fast arriving in just one day, and the product arrived in great shape. Now about the product itself it's a coaxial helicopter ( two sets of blades one on top of the other) so it's incredibly stable I was amazed I could hover it in front of me and push the helicopter with my finger and when I pulled my finger away it would just float back into place. This helicopter is great for a beginner I have let people fly it who have never flown before and the blades are quite durable, however if you would somehow manage to break them you can find plenty of spare parts for them. It's a 3 channel helo so you only get pitch and roll which again is great for beginners. Another thing to mention is that this is an infrared system, the remote communicates with the machine using IR so while this is a great chopper for indoors it may fail to meet your expectations outside. All in all I would recommend this to everyone interested wether your a newbie or a seasoned vet you'll have fun with this machine.

I bought this item November 2022 and never opened it until a couple of days ago. It flew fine out of the box and then I had to charge the battery. The battery would not take a charge so I thought it had sat too long and the battery was malfunctioning. I bought a new battery and soldered it in place. The new battery still won’t charge, there must be something wrong with the internal wiring or circuit board. Good luck if you buy this.

I purchased a total of 7 Syma helicopters for various family members for Christmas, including one for myself. Here are the pros/cons: NEGATIVES: Bought one white one, and they sent a yellow one. Not a big deal. The other 6 were fine. The one for me (red one) stays constantly ON, regardless of ON/OFF setting on controller, so I have to remove the batteries everytime I'm done (which requires a screwdriver) or else the batteries drain in 48 hours (whoops) There is an A/B channel on the remote, but not on the Heli, so it's a wasted feature. Everything is in "Chinglish" which makes for a good laugh. Example: on the black hawk heli, the blade says: "WARNING, if blade damage, don't be fly, otherwise it will create the human body or blame damage." So far my heli has failed to create the human body or place any blame. Good thing. Short flying time, long recharge time POSITIVES: #1 GOOD VALUE. For 20 bucks I bought my nephews their "favorite" Christmas present. Bought one for my 27yo bro-in-law and he had a blast with it. No one has complained about the ON/OFF problem on the other 6 heli's, or any other technical issues. Flies VERY easy. Especially with the non-springee throttle, it's really stable and easy to chase the dog. Durable. Crashes alot and keeps on going. The blades get dinged up, but i took my wife's nail file and smoothed them out. It's dropped from 15+ feet and not had a problem in probably 3 weeks of playing with it, although the gyro thing on top just got bent. For 20 bucks though, very durable. I would recommend this, but you still get what you pay for. Not perfect.

Perfect gift for my 13-year-old nephew! He'd asked for one of these for quite some time but I've heard that they don't hold up well so I was waiting until he was at least 13. I read all the reviews and with the negative reviews, I set my expectations low. I thought that we would be lucky to get 2 weeks of life from it and wow have we all been Blown away and very pleasantly surprised! He still has it and enjoys it very much! He only uses it inside and he has very high ceilings to get full use from it. The battery does have a short life but he knows that with a full charge he will get about 5-7 minutes of flying but that works for him. It's been a HUGE hit! My nephew did just that and he's had it since January of this year. He also said that he notices that with any wind inside from their air conditioner that it causes it to become unstable, another thing to be aware of. I would highly recommend it, even if you read some negative reviews, I would just make sure that you set the expectation with whoever is using it that they are very delicate and to treat it with lots of care.

I'm giving this a 5 star rating because I bought this for my husband who has never flown one before. I read all the reviews for many different models and this one kept saying how it was great for a starter and that it really could take it's licks and keep flying. Well my husband has played with this as much as he can in between charges and it's been so much fun. He's dropped it quite a few times onto the carpet and the grass outside and it's still going. He's even got it caught in a blanket and still worked after we untangled the thread from the rotors. Says indoor only but that's because the sun interferes with the infrared controls. You can use it after the sun goes down no problem and the lights on it do look pretty neat at night. Also you can buy a replacement kit for only a few dollars (we already ordered one just in case..it was under $4.00 with free shipping) the kit had a the little parts that would possibly break in a bad crash. I don't know how well it crashes onto concrete or asphalt but seems to hold up well on carpet and grass. Easy to learn controls so I would say overall for the money this is a great little toy!

Really good! This thing is fast! And takes off like a rocket! Make sure you in a spacious area, or you will be getting a ladder.

Nunca pense que se manejara con tanta precision, excelente para niños, super resistente tambien, lo estrelle cientos de veces a la pared y nunca se rompieron sus aspas. Dejo de funcionar despues de 5 meses pero la verdad no me molesto para nada, le saque decenas de horas de diversion. Pronto comprare uno mas grande de la misma marca. NO son para volar en exterior, incluso una brisa leve puede llevarselo.

Es pequeño, fácil de usar (si lees correctamente las instrucciones) mi hijo de 8 años aprendió a manejarlo en menos de 1hr, se eleva bastante bien y va a todas las direcciones. Muy lindo!
