This is a wonderful little product.
I had just blown up my original Joe Weider doorknob exercise device from the '80s and had been saving this for an emergency. I had ordered it just a month before my Weider died. The thing would have lasted forever had my cat not gnawed through it. I went online to see if anyone was still making the Joe Weider model; nope. Then I came across this product on Amazon and even though it wasn't a Weider, it is fabulous. It is light and quiet. I can do my full workout (100 reps, 5 movements) with no yanking or jerking. I feel like I am getting a great workout. Am about to order another one as a backup as I am tough on these things.

Not Quite Right
You get what you pay for with the Everlast Pilates Door Knob Rope Exerciser but a couple of things could have made it so much better. The ropes are way too short especially for any floor exercises. If a tall person tried to use this or the door knob you are attaching the device to is high on the door it is impossible to use. Also the 'Step bt Step Fitness Guide' alluded to on the web page and on the packaging is 1 sheet of paper with only 2 exercises. A search on the Everlast web site does not turn up any other exercise guides. It is possible to make some exercises of your own but surely the 'designers' of this exerciser had more in mind. Why not include more? The one sheet of instruction provided is only printed on one side, plenty of room to add more exercises

Love these
My mom had some of these in the 70's and my sister and I used them for years when we were in dance classes, great for stretching. I had them for decades and then my husband threw them out! I have had two back surgeries and it helps to stretch so I went shopping online and found these, I didn't know I was doing pilates way back then. My mom got a hoot out of that too. I can use them to stretch my back and legs or just do the exercises I use to do. You can also throw them in your suitcase and exercise when ever you want while traveling.

NOT IMPRESSED
totally not happy with this purchase ,, I have had a rope on the door for maybe 15 years . last year my rope broke(this is an awesome 7 minute routine , that I do ever morning , it just keeps you flexible)I was pretty excited to find this new rope ,, so I order 2 ,,, (one for home and 1 to take to Florida)first rope lasted 2 weeks ,, next one only lasted 1 week ,,it is all made with plastic , and doesn't stand up to normal exercise ,I think I paid close to 40.00 for two sets ,,, AND I WAS TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED

Poor Quality!
I was very disappointed with the quality of this exerciser. I bought a door exerciser in the 70's, this same style and I love it, I must say that it is showing some wear but is in far better condition and superior quality then this one I bought 2 months ago from Amazon. The reason I bought this one? I wanted a 2nd exerciser to leave at the cabin. The exerciser that I recently bought, the rope flakes and these flakes fall all over my face and eyes when I am laying down and using the exerciser .... Thus I have to keep my eyes closed and must make sure I brush off my face and eyes completely when I am finished. The hand and foot cushions that cover the rope are a very thin cushioned type of vinyl that are rather inadequate and may cushion a tiny bit. Then there is the cheap plastic pulley system and the adjustment apparatus' .... well I am sure that anyone of these are going to snap off one of these times when I am using it and if it is one of the pulley pieces that snaps it could possibly fly onto my face and or hair. The exercise instructions sheet is a joke .... Shows 2 leg exercises and that is it! NO I would not purchase this particular item again. My wish is that I could find another one of the same quality like the one I purchased in the 70's.

Works but somewhat chincy
This item does work and has helped my back a lot; however, it is what you pay for.The pulleys are just bushings. The handgrips/footgrips are not flat as shown in the picture. They are just a soft foam and get uncomfortable after 10 minutes.I did not have any trouble with mounting it to a door cause I didn't use a door handle - I attached it to my treadmill armrest. Also, I'm 5' 8" and didn't find it too short. It really works the stomach area - but I got it for the rowing-type action that has helped my back pain quite a bit.

Fun and cheap way to exercise at home or away
Had one of these in the 70's. Loved it then so glad I found another one now. Just need to loop around door handle to hold it in place.Works best on a door that locks so you don't pull it open. The length is fine. Just lay closer or farther away from the door to adjust to your height.

Everlast for Her Pilates Door Knob Rope Exerciser
Love this product. Used the same type of thing in the 70's. I think the trick is to move slowly during the exercises, it really has shaped and toned my mid-section -- I'm moving back to a pear shape again after turning into an apple shape with menopause.Wrap the cord around the doorknob twice and it won't come off. Fabulous for the price. Even took it on vacation with me.
