Aesthetically pleasing
These post bands what they're supposed to do and are easy to install. I am 65 single female so I figure if I can take care of this than about anyone should be able to.

Great Purchase!!!
These bands are hefty, well made and look good on the posts since they show up as a substantial iron band. Putting the first one on was a bit of trial because my 8" post had already split, but the rest of them, (once I got the routine of only taking two of the side screw off completely and spinning out the other two, but not all the way) were very easy so be patient. I had splits in other posts and they went on with ease. I have reordered for the remaining 8 posts too.

Very heavy duty clamp for peace of mind
We have a support post in our basement that has a slim split in it. It's not really a through-and-through crack, it's more of a natural surface split. Nonetheless, when it is one of the things holding up two floors you don't want to take any chances. These clamps are relatively easy to install and fit perfectly. They are thick and quite heavy-duty. While not cheap, the peace of mind is priceless. Safety first!

Post band
Someone backed into our gate post, cracking it all the way to the bottom. It was concreted in the ground and we knew it would be easy to get back out. I found this on Amazon, we put some liquid nails glue in the crack and use this heavy duty post wrap and it works great. Very very strong, WELL WORTH THE MONEY...

Really like these for the price
I put two of these on two posts that had some visible signs of starting to split and they did the trick. I only needed the posts 2-3 more years before replacing the deck and after about 8 months these have done the trick.

Expensive but heavy duty
Had a pressure treated fence post that was splitting bad. Put this clamp on easily and so sturdy I am sure it will hold

Great looking band
I purchased two of these 6x6 bands just 2 weeks ago from Amazon. While I am not sure if they will prevent further "checking" (splitting) of the post, they do make nice accent pieces. I thought I would purchase two more for another post and found that Amazon had increased the price 50% in two weeks!!! Seriously Amazon? I paid $40 each two weeks ago and now they are $60? WTH? The manufacturers MSRP on their own website is still $40.49 - can you say price gouging Amazon? Not a good look for you guys. I was going to go without the additional two until I found them on HD website for $32.

Feel a little better with these on my deck posts.
Posts splitting made me a little uncomfortable but is apparently normal. I feel a little better with these on my deck posts. Easy to install.

Great Product
Exactly what I needed. I used it for a post that has started to split, easy installation and it looks great

Cool product
I really like these because they add a great look and also add some support..In my opinion it would be nice if they were a little wider..The only thing I dislike was there is not enough room to get a socket on so you have to use a open end wrench to tighten the bolts ..This ends up scrapping off the paint and I am sure will start to rust before long.. Oh and another dislike is that they are pretty expensive..
