An indispensable workout tool
Being my first time buying Fat Gripz I was skeptical as to whether to purchase gripz over £20.After purchasing Fat Gripz I realized that something had always been missing from my workouts. Implementing these excellent gripz helped bring more contractions to the muscles I was working. For Instance when doing a bench press I could feel my chest being contracted a lot more with Fat Gripz then without them. Ultimately every workout I perform, has to have Fat Gripz. I also noticed when performing skull crushers there was a lot less stress on my elbows, these Gripz really make you work hard and are perfect if you are looking for quick results. My forearms as well as my biceps have benefited a lot from the Gripz. Although they are slightly expensive they are worth every penny. They are also perfect if you don't have an Olympic bar they make your bar as thick as one! When I opened the box I surprised to find their own workout program on top of their Fat Gripz. The fact that they are so versatile also makes it a must for any gym enthusiast or any one that ones to build muscle. They fit on your pull up bar, dumbells, barbells and even most gym machines, like tricep pull down, row and lat pull down. These Gripz were delivered in three days, very quick for an amazon delivery. Fat Gripz may just seem like two pieces of rubber but they are more than that, they are military grade and are really durable, they don't feel cheap at all. They also fit well on virtually any bar and are easy to take off. My first workout with these Gripz were punishing. I felt my forearms and biceps burning on every rep when curling, and I woke up sore the next day, after consistently using these gripz over 4 months I have managed to reduce imbalances between my arms and have a more prominent bicep peak, not to mention my huge forearms. Buy these Fat Gripz and you will not be disappointed, they are better than other Bar thickeners and are great if you don't want to buy an expensive Olympic bar and besides they fit on pretty much anything. I can not wait to buy the Extreme Fat Gripz, I must emphasize that you use standard Fat Gripz before using Extreme as when I hit the gym before buying these Gripz my friend had the Extremes and I was struggling to get a grip on them! After using the gripz for a few months I could get a firm grip on them. Durability- 10/10 Price - 7/10 Shipping- 10/10 Overall use in workouts-10/10 (I use them for every exercise now!)

Super effective
I was looking for equipment options to help me with improving my forearm training and making it all round more variable, and when I came across this it just hit me, this will be perfect to work the sections of my forearms closer to the wrist due to a wider, more claw like grip, since I have rather weak wrists and I'm looking to improve my grip all round for different things like the benefits of more confident and conscious-minded grip strength when I'm lifting and pulling weights, strengthening my wrists to prevent injuries from punching hitting bags, minimising stress from more extreme loads and stretch angles like handstands and such, and just improving general size and functionality of the forearm, because it's just such a complex multi-dimentional set of intertwined muscles, with an impressive number of directional movement angles and should definitely not be overlooked by any bodybuilders/athletes etc. I could feel its effectiveness after my very first power set of curls, because my forearms were more tense than after any previous forearm curl routines, or bag punching sessions. I honestly felt like a clawed beast with that pleasant tightness, as if I could simply rip someone's throat out with one snatch of a hand. This truly works, not I'm just curious as to how quick the growth, strength and mobility are going to improve, since you can virtually use these with any gripping equipment in the gym, except for I suppose most machines due to their custom made rubber grips attached. They felt sturdy and quality made, didn't slide around or anything, but can easily be adjusted on the bar by simply prying it apart a little with the fingers and it then slides around quite easily. Quality product - 5/5

An interesting addition to your training equipment.
These Fat Gripz are an interesting addition to training. They work on the premise, that it is more difficult to hold a weight with your hand not completely closed, which in turn means that you need to utilise more muscles in your arms to control it. It does work, but isn't suitable for all exercises. I personally can't see the point in using them on heavy lifts, such as deadlifting, as your arms will always fail first and too early. There are smaller diameter Fat Gripz (the black coloured ones) which are more suitable for heavy lifts. I Use them for shoulder pressing, where they work well, but they do seem to be very difficult to obtain at the moment. I have quite small hands, so these Fat Gripz take real effort for me to hold them. The forearm pump that you get is extraordinary, but you will have to considerably drop the weight you use. The Fat Gripz themselves are very well made. They are real substantial lumps of rubber, with each one weighing in at 300g. They fit a 1inch bar, but turn a little too easily, so I wrap a layer of hockey stick handle tape around the bar, this gives good friction, and stops the Fat Gripz from moving. Overall, I would recommend these, but be aware of how to use them. You can't just stick them on your bar and expect to train as usual. They need to be used on some exercises, but not on others. A mixture of on and off for the same exercise, with the corresponding change in weight is probably the way to go. I hope you found this review helpful.

Excellent and useful
I bought these grips to use with mostly pull up bar and the dip bar. I have been using these with the pull-up bars for a couple of weeks, and can attest to the effectiveness of these grips; these will seriously challenge the forearms. I can barely do 6 with these, while without, I can manage about 11 pull ups, with good form, and I feel a real burn in the forearms after using these. I cannot comment on longer term effectiveness, yet. Overall, the grips are smooth, appear seem well built, and will hopefully last (they had better, given that I paid £34 on Amazon for these, including the 7£ shipping to Sweden!). For those who plan on using these with mostly body weight exercises, I have a quibble: The grips can be attached to different bars by simply widening the opening provided, and there is a small gap between the two halves after they are affixed to a bar (at least, in the case of the ones I have). I find when doing pull ups that this gap is quite an annoyance, and sometimes (not always) puts me off my form. I then have to carefully "find" a place to grip that does not impair me. Insufficient for me to not recommend purchase, but definitely enough to dock a star for getting the halves not closing fully.

It's all about girth
The extra girth trains your forearms and wrist, even low weight gives you a workout

Also works with Bodylastic bands and kettlebells
For some time my upper body workouts have been in a plateau with very little gains in my arms despite trying various methods to improve. To be honest when it came to arms I never gave my grip and forearms the attention they needed. All my arm work was concentrated on biceps and triceps. So after doing some research and reading a lot of reviews I thought I would give Fat Gripz a try. Well, the effect of changing to a wider diameter grip on all push and pull sets on my arms has been brilliant. I cannot believe such a simple change could make such a big difference so quickly. I have been doing resistance training for many years and these Fat Gripz has revolutionised my upper body routine. You can feel the difference in every exercise. Another good thing about Fat Gripz it how versatile they are when it comes to fitting them to equipment. Not only do they fit all my dumbbells and bars; they also fit my chin up bar, kettlebells and most importantly, when I am away from home, the handles on my Bodylastic resistance bands. A word of caution if you buy Fat gripz; as said by other users, take it easy at first. I thought I could do my usual high swings with the Fat Gripz fitted to my kettlebells. Unfortunately I did not realise how quickly my hands was fatiguing and lost my hold on one and it flew out of my hand nearly hitting the family TV. I only missed `Daddy ruined Christmas' by about four inches. Many thanks to Fatgripz.com for the access to the extra routines and advice on purchase. Especially a big thank you goes to, Franco, at Fatgripz.com who would reply to my emails with a personal response and not with automated reply or the copy and paste answers you get from other companies.

Good grips
I’m using these on dumbbells at the moment and you can feel your forearms getting a workout whilst using these grips. They are comfortable and well made. They are easy to slide over the bar (you just prise them open as they have a split in them). They are nice and thick, I have the smaller diameter ones too, but I feel these work better for me as they work the forearms more.

Super!
Also, scheinbar eine super Sache! Also zusammenfassend..
