The band is stretchy and also very comfortable -- it doesn't slip when it gets sweaty or droop when you are running, and doesn't leave any red marks. It can be adjusted easily for different arm widths. I used this armband specifically with my iPhone 5S and it fit almost perfectly, allowing enough space for me to be able to see the screen. I was still able to text and choose song options through the plastic coating, which isn't always the case with things that cover your screen. It is super light-weight which adds to the comfort aspect, and you can get the headphones through without any problem. The coolest feature are the LED lights -- for anyone who enjoys exercising at night, outside, this is a must. The lights have three different "options" between stand-still and flickering, and are a bright yellow color. I feel a lot safer walking or running at night with this on, to alert cars that I am coming. I love how durable this armband is and how safe I feel it holds my iPhone (I have had others that I felt did not close well and it scared me to run with them for fear it would come undone and my phone would drop). This would make an awesome gift for the avid runner in your life! I haven't tried it with any other models besides my iPhone, but I am sure that it is compatible with many others. I really like the LED feature, though, so I went ahead with the purchase. I'm so happy I did! Yes, I'm still not totally comfortable with something on my arm when I run (just a personal thing), but this one fits better than any I've ever used. My phone fits in the pouch perfectly, and I have no problem using it, while in there. I love the LED light feature; there is a power switch to one side, and you can leave it off, solid lights, quick flashing lights, or slow flashing lights. Living on a busy road, where I'm often running or walking when it's dark, or begins to get dark, this is an awesome feature for me.
