New Star 42306 Commercial Grade French Fry Cutter with Suction Feet, 3/8-Inch

I eat a lot of potatoes. I oven baked them. I was tired of cutting them myself, making them all misshapen and then having them cook unevenly. So, I got this french fry cutter to save time and effort. First off, this cutter is very sturdy and it’s also big, as in it takes up a lot of counter space. It’s marketed as a commercial use cutter so that makes sense. It has considerable weight to it, everything is metal, most of the parts look CNC machined which is great for durability and longevity. The suction cups work fine for my use case to hold the cutter in place, although there is a little bit of movement if you try to operate it without something bracing the base. Assembly was very straight forward, but I did need a couple crescent wrenches to tighten down some of the nuts and bolts. The power is strong, much better than any other cutter I’ve used. The cutter sliced through russet potatoes with relative ease, it did take a little more force than I was expecting since watching some of the videos made it seem like it would slice through potatoes like warm butter, but it still doesn’t take that much force. The video I posted shows me cutting with one hand which was a little awkward, but using two hands with one bracing the front slightly made cutting very easy. I would expect this to work well if mounting to something where there’s no movement at all in the base of the cutter. The bladed area is pretty large, so you could get a huge potato in there or some other vegetable if you so choose. I chose the 3/8inch blade but apparently you can get others to swap out to a different size if you want. I suspect the blades will be the only part on this that will ever need to be replaced once they go dull from use. Removing the blade for cleaning was pretty easy. You just undo some wing nuts and take it off, wash/clean it and put it back in reverse order. I could see how this would be cumbersome if you’re washing it after every single use which is probably what I’m going be doing. So we’ll see how that goes. Overall, this cutter is expensive, but it’s very sturdy and I expect it to last a long time because of how it’s constructed. It’s easy to use, it’s powerful, and it saves a lot of time and effort. I’d recommend buying this, knowing you probably will never need to buy another cutter again.

Es muy practico y facilita mucho el corte de los vegetales en especial las papas
