Does it have fragrance as an ingredient?

Fragrance is an ingredient. It does not say the source of the fragrance on the packaging. However, I have a fairly severe (interferes with my breathing) allergy to most artificial fragrances, and I contacted the company a number of years back (maybe 2014 or 2015ish?) when I first discovered this brand. At least at that point in time, the company only used natural fragrances in their products. I can’t say with certainty that that hasn’t changed in the intervening 7+ years, but I have used Shea Moisture products exclusively for my hair and body lotion all that time and have never had an allergic reaction to the products I’ve used.

How do you use this, there were no directions?

We recommend using our SheaMoisture Hair Masque as listed on the label. Section clean, wet hair and apply generously. Use a wide tooth comb to distribute evenly from root to ends, paying particular attention to hair ends. Leave in 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. For deep penetrating treatment, cover hair with a plastic cap and apply moderate heat for up to 30 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Style as desired. When using a hair steamer do not cover hair, moist heat will add to masque's hydration.

Will this be benefical for type 2c/3a hair?

Question 4

Is this a leave in curling cream or am I supposed to wash this out?

Accepted Answer

Wash or rinse thoroughly after applying it for 10-15 minutes. I would not recommend it as a leave in, it may damage your hair.
