How do i cut gap in wood?

Can this be used along a range as a gap eraser between a range and counter is it heat tolerant

In my opinion it is not sufficiently heat tolerant for this application, is is after all just Polyethylene plastic. In addition the spline that holds the product in place is designed for a 1/16 inch gap 3/32 at most . I would suspect the gap between the range and counter is wider than that.

Will this product accept silicone sealant?

Probably not it is a pretty tight fit.
