The knives are sharp. I easily cut through fruit and vegetables and get nice slices. Other reviewers have mentioned they rust easily. Rust is formed when metal is left wet for periods of time. I have never had a problem with knives rusting and I won't because I wash them and dry them as soon as I'm done using them. I do not put my knives in the dishwasher. If you put them in the dishwasher, be sure to remove them as soon as the cycle stops and wipe off any remaining moisture. This is a great, high quality set of knives. Also, if you happen to read the directions it says to sharpen before use. I would not do this. The knives are sharp on arrival.

Nice but don’t stay sharp long

Me encantó este organizador de cuchillos. Tiene un diseño moderno que se ve súper bonito en la cocina y además ahorra bastante espacio en la encimera. Los cuchillos quedan bien seguros y organizados, lo que facilita mucho encontrarlos rápidamente al cocinar. El material se siente resistente y de buena calidad. Es perfecto si quieres mantener tu cocina ordenada y con un toque elegante. Definitivamente lo recomiendo, cumple su función y se ve excelente.

I use this set for my house cooking. I like the variety of blades, but as they're stainless steel be sure to dry them immediately after washing. Don't let the knives soak in water as they rust pretty easily. The other thing I would caution is putting them in a dry spot. Despite towel drying sometimes drops of water may leak from the knife handle if I hold the knife by the handle and point the blade tip straight down. Just be careful with how you dry them as I've been surprised by letting them air dry overnight and still get a drop of water on the blade (hence my rust stains).

These knives look and work nicely for the price paid at the time of writing ($30). They come with a good set and seem somewhat durable. I don't have the knowledge to compare them to expensive $100+ knives, but I can imagine these being good enough for the average user.

So, I'm young and just moved out of my mothers house, and I'm a huge cooker. The kitchen was the biggest thing on my list when it came to furnishing it. I was looking for good knives online, and trying to shop in stores such as Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond, but couldn't find completely stainless steel knives that weren't over $100. These knives had mixed reviews, so I was a little hesitant to buy them. But these knives have exceeded my expectations. I have so far cut through a navel orange, a cucumber, and a pizza. All simple food items, but these knives cut right through each food item with no hesitation. The cucumber was sliced perfectly from skin to skin, and I didn't have to go back to cut the user side. The steak knife is what I used to cut through pizza crush, which also blew me away with how easily it went through on the first try. And navel oranges have a really tough skin, and the knife went right through it without me having to exert too much pressure. They are light weight, and feel a little cheap, but for the money these knives are a steal. I hope this review helps people like me who want luxury, but need realistic. These knives would work for any foody, and anyone who tells you otherwise is too high mantinence in the kitchen, or doesn't know how to properly use a knife - or the right knife, for that matter. The set itself is very attractive and looks nice on the countertop. Disappointed to find that they are not very good quality. The knives cut/chop nicely but the handle itself is cheap feeling. It isn't a solid handle and I find that water will accumulate easily inside. Even washing the knives by hand I still find water manages to seep in. When I think the knives have dried, I place them back in the block only to find water running out of the handle and all over the counter. The steak knives feel a bit cheap and flimsy so I began using another set when entertaining guests. I felt a bit embarrassed for them to use the Oster set. Overall, I would say spend the money and get a nice set. I think the extra money spent will be well worth it.

Los cuchillos son excelentes, vienen muy afilados y tienen una ergonomía agradable. A este juego de cuchillos se le recomienda no dejarlos en el agua, ya que he leído reseñas que dicen que se oxidan muy rápido, es porque los han dejado días en el fregadero mojados. En lo personal recomiendo solo pasar el chorro de agua sobre el filo y secar cuidadosamente, si se uso para algo que requiera de mayor limpieza, lave con cuidado con su jabón lava trastes preferido y seque inmediatamente. Lujosos, buen precio, excelente producto.

En relación a costó bueno, conciderando que lo compré a precio especial, pero note que pierde si filo muy rápido, (aunque traé uno) asi que invertí en un afilador extra, tambien tengo la precaucion de usar, lavar y secar en e momento, de lo contrario veré pequeños puntos de óxido rápido, es cuestión de buen cuidado, un set de cuchillos es un requisito en la cocina, este set es estético y funcional.
